THIS AMAZING 1960 CADILLAC IS A REAL BEAUTY IN ITS BRIGHT RED PAINT, BIG FINS, ABUNDANT CHROME AND WHITE WALL
TIRES! THIS IS SUCH A PRETTY CAR! THE CHROME, STAINLESS TRIM, GRILLE, HEADLAMP SURROUNDS, GLASS, ETC ARE ALL IN
EXCELLENT CONDITION. THIS CADI APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN REPAINTED ONCE IN BRIGHT RED THAT HAS A VERY GOOD SHINE. THE
CHROME BUMPERS LOOK VERY GOOD! THE BLACK CONVERTIBLE TOP IS IN GOOD CONDITION. A BRAND NEW REAR WINDOW WAS JUST
INSTALLED. THE TOP BOOT IS IN LIKE NEW CONDITION. THE DOOR WEATHERSTRIPPING WAS REPLACED BY A PREVIOUS OWNER.
THE HEADLAMPS HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO H4 LAMPS FOR BETTER VISIBILITY WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT.

WHEN YOU SIT DOWN INSIDE THIS CADI, IT’S ALMOST LIKE BEING IN A TIME CAPSULE FROM 1960.
IT IS OBVIOUS FROM THE CONDITION OF THE INTERIOR CHROME AND TRIM THAT THIS CADI WAS GARAGED WHEN NOT BEING USED.
SITTING IN THE CAR, THE DRIVER CAN EASILY SEE ALL FOUR CORNERS AND ENJOY AN UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW IN ALL DIRECTIONS
WITH THE TOP DOWN.
THIS CADI HAS ITS ORIGINAL RADIO AND HEATER! THE INSTRUMENTS AND DOOR PANELS ARE ORIGINAL AND IN EXCELLENT
CONDITION. A PREVIOUS OWNER INSTALLED A TAPE DECK THAT CAN EASILY BE REMOVED. THE CARPET HAS BEEN REPLACED AND
LOOKS NEAR NEW!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS IN GOOD UNRESTORED CONDITION. A PREVIOUS OWNER REPAINTED THE ENGINE AND VALVE COVERS.
EVERYTHING ELSE APPEARS TO BE WELL MAINTAINED ORIGINAL. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS.
TRUNK:
THE TRUNK IS IN GOOD CONDITION, STILL CONTAINING ITS ORIGINAL COMPONENTS. IT EVEN STILL HAS ITS ORIGINAL FACTORY
TRUNK MAT AND CARDBOARD SURROUNDS. THE SPARE TIRE AND ORIGINAL JACK ARE THERE! THE TRUNK WEATHER STRIPPING WAS
REPLACED.
MECHANICALS:
THIS 1960 CADILLAC IS POWERED BY ITS ORIGINAL 325 HP V-8 ENGINE WITH 4-BBL CARBURETOR, DUAL EXHAUST AND
HYDRA-MATIC TRANSMISSION. THE BRAKE HORSE POWER WAS RATED AT 325 @ 4,800 RPM, SO THIS CADI HAS PLENTY OF POWER.
I JUST HAD NEW MUFFLERS, EXHAUST PIPES FROM THE MUFFLERS BACK AND TAIL PIPES INSTALLED. THE TOP MOTOR & PUMP
OPERATE PROPERLY WITH NO SIGNS OF LEAKING. THIS CADI HAS BEEN DRIVEN VERY LITTLE DURING THE PAST FIVE YEARS.

2014 Cadillac XTS gets 410-hp twin-turbo V6
Tue, 14 May 2013General Motors told us so back in March, but it is now official: The twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 announced for the 2014 Cadillac CTS will also join the options list for the 2014 Cadillac XTS. The LF3 engine puts out 410 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque in the XTS, however, which is 10 hp and 61 lb-ft down from its application in the CTS. It will be identifiable from the outside by a specific grille treatment and a badge on the decklid. The 3.6-liter V6 with 304 hp and 264 lb-ft holds steady as the standard engine, and both will be yoked to a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
Also new for the front-wheel drive model for 2014 are updates that include electric power steering and optional Automatic Parking Assist that can maneuver the sedan into parallel parking spots. The three trims above standard - Luxury, Premium and Platinum - get Intellibeam headlights that automatically switch between high- and low-beam,
The four current trim levels remain but the list of optional extras for the higher specs grows with a rear-seat entertainment system equipped with DVD screens in the front seatbacks, memory settings for the front passenger seat and an armrest in the back seat fitted with radio and sunshade controls. Few things are better for consumers than competition raising the bar. And no campaign seems fiercer than the one currently underway in the midsize sport-sedan segment now that Cadillac has introduced its all-new 2014 CTS to go head-to-head against the benchmark Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
While the CTS has been on the market for slightly more than a decade, up until this third-generation, Cadillac hasn't truly had the proper high-performance rear-wheel-drive architecture to build a genuine world-class fighter, both inside and out. And now that the American automaker has successfully mirrored Audi, BMW and Mercedes in overall vehicle size, engine output and cabin appointments, the first shots have been fired.
Cadillac HQ has a New York address
Sun, 16 Nov 2014The new home of Cadillac will be in the 330 Hudson building in New York City's Hudson Square, putting the luxury marque smack dab in the middle of three of the city's hippest areas, SoHo, Greenwich Village and Tribeca.
The announcement is yet another milestone in the company's controversial decision to relocate administrative and marketing operations away from Detroit and into the Big Apple.
"The addition of a headquarters office in New York is a key step in Cadillac's ongoing global expansion," Cadillac boss Johan de Nysschen said, according to The Detroit Free Press. "There is no better atmosphere in which to better immerse ourselves into luxury consumer and brand expertise."
