1967 Cadillac Coupe Deville Convertible on 2040-cars
Lorman, Mississippi, United States
Up for sale I have a 1967 Cadillac Deville Convertible which I purchased in Feb. 2004. After purchasing the car I had the motor and transmission rebuilt. Everything was polished, clean and put back together with all new gaskets trying to keep everything as original as possible. I also had the exhaust pipe replaced from front to rear. Shocks as well as the brakes were done also a fresh new paint job. Notice!! All of these things were done in 2004. The car has been kept in a garage the whole entire time. I have driving the car seven times of owning it due to other projects. The story I was told when purchasing this vehicle was that it was in a storage unit for years and that the mileage was original. Seeing that the car had been sitting up for so long I have replaced the following spark plugs, wires, oil and oil filter ( 1967 Cadillac DeVille Part 1 and 1967 Cadillac DeVille Part 2 |

Cadillac toned down ATS Coupe design due to customer feedback [w/poll]
Tue, 02 Sep 2014Automakers always face a difficult decision when it comes to styling their cars. Design them too blandly and nobody will get excited about them. But style them too aggressively and they'll often end up turning off potential buyers.
Cadillac, for its part, is no stranger to aggressive design, but when it came to the new ATS Coupe, it elected to tone things down a bit. Speaking with The Detroit News in a wide-ranging interview, Cadillac design director Bob Boniface revealed that the original design for its compact coupe was edgier - closer to that of the CTS Coupe - with a wedgier profile, a more steeply raked beltline and a more severe grille. But potential customers surveyed in clinics apparently didn't like it. They found it looked heavy, inefficient and not fun to drive. So Boniface and his team literally went back to the drawing board and "took as much visual mass out of the car as [they] could." The resulting coupe, while handsome, looks far more similar to its four-door companion than did Cadillac's CTS.
What do you think, does the new ATS Coupe look just right, or is it too conservative? Voice your opinion in our quick online poll.
Cadillac Elmiraj has production potential
Tue, 20 Aug 2013There are many reasons to love the Cadillac Elmiraj Concept, but not the least of which is how production-ready this big coupe appears to be. Take out the overly fancy interior and a few conceptual elements of the exterior, and this looks like a coupe that could be in dealers now as the successor to the Eldorado.
On top of that, Automotive News is quoting Bob Ferguson, Cadillac senior vice president, as saying that a production version of this car is "very doable." AN adds that if the Monterey showstopper gets the green-light, this car would compete against the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and would based on Cadillac's upcoming rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan due out in 2015. The range-topping coupe would debut sometime after the sedan model. Cross your fingers.
