1964 Mercury Comet Caliente - 4-Speed

Just arrived. This 1964 Mercury Comet is a recreation of one one of the famous six Comet's prepared for the East African Safari Rally. Of 96 cars that entered the rally, only 21 cars finished the entire race, two of them being Comet's. This Comet has had hundreds of hours of work and thousands of dollars spent to duplicate the Ford works cars. This example was delivered new from the Los Angeles factory, and is beautifully rust free and accident free. The car has a very nicely built 260 Ford V8 with factory 4 speed transmission. Also has fuel cell, suspension upgrades, etc., etc. This car was done extremely well, it is fully serviced and everything works. This fun road car is registered in California.
