My 1970 Chevrolet Blazer (2nd year produced - 11,527) has been completely restored and is in excellent condition. There are not many '69/'70 Blazers for sale - due to relatively low production numbers. You will find more 71/72 Blazers for sale, 72 being the last of the First Generation Blazers. The majority of the work was completed prior to my ownership - so I may or may not be able to answer specific restoration questions. According to the dealer I purchased the Blazer from, it was originally an AZ truck, I purchased the truck from Las Vegas. I DO NOT have a hard top, truck only comes with a retractable and/or removable Softopper soft top which is in excellent condition. You can leave the top on and roll up the side and back windows similar to a Jeep Wrangler. SPECS: DRIVETRAIN: 350 Small Block, Turbo 350 Automatic, 4 Wheel Drive - NP205 Transfer Case, 4:11 front/rear with locking hubs, Serpentine Pulleys, Dual Electric Fans, Vintage Air A/C, INTERIOR: Completely Restored to factory original - with all New Dash Pad, Seat Covers, Door Panels, Carpet, Seat Belts, Custom Roll Bar - painted with Base Coat/Clear Coat; Original Steering Wheel, New Gauges with Tach, Oil Pressure, Temp, and Amp, Complete New Wiring Harness SUSPENSION/BRAKES: All new with 6" Suspension Lift, Dual Shocks at both front corners; Front Disc/Rear Drum Brakes EXHAUST: Headers with Flowmaster Dual Exhaust TIRES: New BFG Mud-Terrain T/A - 35/12.5/15 The Blazer looks fantastic outside, inside and underside. The truck runs great and turns heads everywhere you go (warning....you will painfully get asked often if it is a Bronco). I own multiple nicely restored classic muscle cars and this Blazer easily is the biggest head turner - you just don't see many, especially in this condition. This Blazer is a Beast - standing almost 7' tall (it barely fits in my 7' tall garage door). I purchased the truck from a dealer in Las Vegas (hence the plate BLKJKD) in June 2014 and drove the truck all Summer.

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.

Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
