LISTING THIS COOL 1983 CHEVY K5 BLAZER 4WD FOR A FRIEND. THE VIN SHOWS IT WAS ORGINALY A DIESEL. IT WAS SWAPPED TO GAS ROUGHLY 10 YEARS AGO WITH A GM CRATE 350 ENGINE. TRUCK CRANKS RUNS AND DRIVES AND THE AIR BLOWS COLD. THIS WAS ALWAYS A SOUTHERN TRUCK BUT THERE IS SOME RUST THAT WILL BE SHOWN IN THE PICS. TRUCK HAS BEEN DROVE LOCALLY FOR MANY YEARS WITH NO KNOWN PROBELMS. HOWEVER IF YOU ARE 300 MILES AWAY PLEASE DONT ASK IF I THINK IT WILL MAKE IT BACK. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN DRIVING SOMETHING 10 MILES AND 300 MILES. ALL I KNOW IS THAT IT RUNS GOOD BUT IT IS 31 YEARS OLD AND IF YOU ARE FAR AWAY I WOULD MAKE AGGRANGMENTS TO HAVE IT HAULED. BUT AFTER YOU PAY FOR IT, IT IS YOURS AND YOU CAN DRIVE IT, HAUL IT OR PULL IT WITH A MULE FOR ALL I CARE. TRANS SHIFTS INTO ALL GEARS WELL. ENGINE SOUNDS STRONG AND DOES NOT SMOKE....ALSO THE TRUCK WAS ORGINALY SILVER IN COLOR AND WAS PAINTED YELLOW WHEN THE ENGINES WERE SWAPPED. PAINT LOOKS GOOD FROM A DISTANCE BUT UP CLOSE THERE IS A FEW RUST BUBBLES. THE LARGEST SHOWIN IN THE PIC ON THE TAILGATE. TRUCK IS BEING SOLD AS-IS AND SHIPPING IS THE RESPONSIBITY OF THE BUYER. Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.

Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
