Welcome to LSx Unlimited!!

This is my personal shop truck, extremely fun to cruise around, 100% street legal, tagged and inspected! Can drive this truck pretty much anywhere, anytime. Very street friendly, drives and handles like a new truck. I really hate to sale this monster but I have another build in the works so I need to make some room :(

I built this truck for me to enjoy on the street. Gets tons of attention pretty much anywhere you go. This truck was originally sold new about 10 miles away in Cleburne Texas. Body wise is just about all original. I sealed the flavor in using Satin Clear over the stock worn out paint. Extremely Fast truck even on low boost 9-11PSI. I personally tuned the truck using HPTuners, 3 Bar Custom OS. It is currently tuned to around 15psi, which even at low boost it just blows off the et streets easily under 60mph. I would estimate around 600-700rwhp on the current boost level at 11psi on e85. Timing is aggressive on E85 to achieve the power its currently producing. The old Twin Turbo 4.8 combo cranked out 504rwhp on 12psi in 2nd gear thru the TH350.

The most frequent asked question is "Why no intercooler". It is currently on E85 which aid's dramatically but that is not my main reason why. I built this combo to have virtually ZERO lag in boost. With the very short Y-Pipe from the turbo's spool time is almost instant and feels incredible. Hardly any turbo lag. IAT's are under control and I have personally never seen it go above 190 after a FULL PULL.

Truck runs and drives very, very nice. It is tuned on E85 which I recommend keeping her on E85. It’s a blast to cruise this nasty little sleeper and bust pretty much whatever pulls up next to it on the highway. It does have a HOT heater but does not have A/C. Glass is tinted nicely, Roll up windows work great!

I have a ton of time and money invested in this beast! Clean Texas Title in Hand. It is priced to sale and very fair reserve price under $13k. Cost over 2x TIMES this to duplicate.

I can personally deliver the truck anywhere a road is connected in the USA if an agreement is made. AND remember I can close this auction at ANYTIME if Reserve is not met and a Deal is made.

New Chevrolet Silverado to be revealed on Facebook on Thursday

Tue, 11 Dec 2012

There's not much to see here, but if you're one of those waiting for the reveal of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, above is the teaser image that Chevrolet posted on its Facebook page. We've seen the truck in form-fitting camo before, and even less can be made out here beyond those seriously punchy Silverado-esque fenders and the knowledge that the projector-beam headlamps teased previously do indeed work. We'll have to wait until Thursday for a full perusal of the "bold exterior design" and "careful attention given to every detail" we've been promised.
Gathering intel and rumors, magnesium and aluminum contribute to the Silverado's weight loss plan, the purported "High Country" top-tier trim will contribute to luxury pickup truck competition and profit margins and the next-generation small-block V8 will contribute to improved fuel economy. On the engine note, there have been rumors of available V6 engines, and when Facebook user John Jones asked "Where's your answer to that EcoBoost Chevy?", the Bowtie replied "stay tuned on the 13th. We think you'll be pleased...".
Along with the "Raise the Bar" tag, Chevrolet says of the Silverado, "You asked, we delivered." You can watch the reveal live on Chevrolet's Facebook page at 9:30 am EST, this Thursday, December 13. The GMC Sierra 1500 will also be there, and we'll see both in person at the Detroit Auto Show in January.

Chevrolet donates 300 vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Super Storm Sandy took out a lot of automobiles in its path of destruction through the Northeast last October. The number surpassed 250,000 at last count, and a few of those were owned by Chevrolet - cars either sitting on dealership lots or waiting at port to be shipped off. Rendered unsellable by the water damage inflicted by Sandy, these vehicles were facing the crusher. But Chevy didn't send them there.
Instead, Chevy had a better idea: It will be donating 300 of these vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders at Guardian Centers in Perry, GA. Chevy is the official automotive partner of Guardian Centers, which is an 830-acre facility that trains first responders in disaster preparedness. Junked cars are practically a consumable commodity there, where a full-size cityscape simulator gives trainees an entire urban center in which to train for all sorts of rescue operations and disaster scenarios.
Chevy says its particular vehicles will be used "in conjunction with role players for wide area searches, traffic congestion in emergency situations, counter terrorism, public order and mass casualty exercises." While grim scenarios all, we're certainly glad there are people out there preparing for the unexpected. While a zombie apocalypse isn't officially on the list of potential disasters to prepare for, when the virus hits, we'll be hot-footing it to Perry, GA to hang with these guys and gals.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
