Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States
Hello, we hope all is well. You are looking at my 1997 Chevrolet 1500 regular cab, short bed Fleetside with the desireable 5.0L V8 Vortec. This is a rare Original One Owner regular cab, short bed Chevy 4x4. It has only 128K original miles, mostly All highway miles. This truck runs and drives like a dream. Very smooth and tight, solid for a 17 year old truck. This isnt a truck that has been fully detailed to cover her up. Pictures show a solid 1997 Chevrolet 4x4 Pick-up truck in its original state. Solid, rust free Florida truck. This truck left the Fort Wayne Assembly plant on November 14, 1996 at 14:38:05 and sold by Cindy Brooker Chevrolet Inc. in Wildwood, FL. Where it spent all of its life there up until now that we acquired it. We bought it just because you will Never again find an original one owner 1997 Chevy with these options and Full documentation as pictured. This is a 100% fully functional truck, absolutely everything works. A/C is ice-cold. It is a 100% original solid rust free truck (look at how solid the panels are underneath) no rust. Pictured door jams and rocker panels show rust free. Only thing we did was purchase a set of 4 Fuel Off-Road wheels (factory 16x8 size) and installed some (factory size) 265/75R16 Mud-Terrain tires just to give the truck an aggressive look. (We have the original rims and tires as well). Absolutely never taken off-road. This truck needs nothing mechanically. Previous owner spent thousands of dollars at there local Chevrolet dealer when the truck turned 100k. 100k tune up included, New battery, New sparkplugs, New sparkplug wires, New distributor, New belts, New hoses, New radiator, Complete New A/C System, New alternator, New fuel pump, New starter, New Brakes (front and rear) even down to the wheel cylinders, New power steering pump, hoses. This truck needs nothing. Only thing I were to change if I were to keep it would be the original Am/Fm Cassette player and the Factory original speakers in which sound ok. This auction has a Reserve set. I have no need to sell the truck, if the price I and my Wife agreed on is met then congratulations to the new owner of this original solid truck. Rare find. We will not accept Paypal nor Cash. Certified cashiers check or bank check sent overnight will be accepted and/or a bank wire transfer. Please arrange shipping via uShip as this truck is being garage kept, plates and insurance have been removed. If vehicle is not sold we will simply re-issue a license plate and insurance to keep in the garage for weekend use. Thank you and any questions please ask.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.
Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum
Fri, 02 May 2014Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.
