1977 Chevrolet Cheyenne 10

Shortbox 4X4

ALL ORIGINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Up for sale is my 1977 Chevrolet Cheyenne 10 Shortbox 4X4.  This is a very, very, very rare find.  It was purchased new in Moscow Idaho and remained in the high mountain desert all of it's life.  I have the original order form and option scratch sheet when it was ordered new.  This truck was babied and kept inside since new.  100% completely rust free from top to bottom.  It has 98,743 documented original miles.  It looks amazing, drives amazing, and rides amazing.  EVERYTHING WORKS!  This truck needs absolutely nothing.

Exterior:

It even has the factory original date coded spare tire / jack / handle that has never been used.  Never been wrecked!!!  It has had one re-paint approx. 4 years ago the original color (Mariner Blue / White).  There are no chips or scratches.  The bed was never used and is in perfect condition.  Great paint job.  The exterior trim and all the stainless moldings are in near perfect condition.  The grille is new.  The old one had 2 bars missing by the release handle (I have the original one).  Original bumpers are like new with no pitting or scratches.  The fit and finish is absolutely amazing.  The wheels are factory steel with like new original hub caps and brand new 31X10.5 Goodyear tires.

Interior:

The interior is 100% original.  The carpet is very nice.  There is only one ware spot on the driver side.  The original seat is in excellent condition.  The gauges are crystal clear and the needles are brilliant orange like new.  Headliner is nice and tight.  The weather stripping is practically new condition.

Engine/ Drivetrain:

This truck runs strong.  The engine is a correct CE replacement block date coded as 1980-1985 with approx. 5,000 miles on it.  Aftermarket Edelbrock Intake and Carb.  Original dual exhaust.  No LEAKS!!!  The engine bay was not painted.  Just cleaned and waxed.  The original 4-speed trans. and transfer shift and work perfectly.

Try to find another one of these trucks in this original condition.  This is a VERY, VERY rare original truck with a few extras.  There are more pictures available upon request.  Please call with any questions or offers.  I will not sell this truck cheap.  Todd (208)  989-3970

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

GM profits threatened by glut of pickups

Wed, 05 Dec 2012

Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
