I have had this van since 2008, has made me huge money, reliable as the day is long. In 2014 I replaced the rear-end, leafs, driveshaft from a 3500 wrecked in the front end which had 7834 miles on it. Also took out seats so they are practically new and super comfortable. Tranny was replaced with new in 2012 (has approx 27K miles on it now). Tires are brand new, not 500 miles on them. Brakes are Autozone Ceramic so you will never have to buy them again, lifetime warranty, rotors I replace once a year (I am overly safety conscious). Motor was rebuilt in 2011 and has about 45K on it. AC blows arctic cold. I travel a LOT so recently tinted the windshield, drivers and passenger windows to make nighttime driving a bit easier when drivers have the brights oncoming or in rear, makes HUGE difference with eye strain if you spend hours in the vehicle. Remote Start and Alarm system by Autopage. Truck has Tow hitch and outlet for trailer power including a separate AUX power line. Also a trailer brake module. Power Door Lock\Unlock buttons added on dash. Pics have Roof rack, NOT including in this sale. Only reason selling is I purchased a 2015 with 6.0 for pulling trailers. The truck itself has 200k but if you have paid attention the drive-train and motor are practically new, only body has the age although no signs of it. Almost forgot Autozones best gas shocks also installed 5 months ago. New Battery as well, cant say enough about this vehicle. Next move is up to you. Buy it, get out there and make some money!!!

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
