This auction is for our nice used 2007 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx LTZ. We are the original owners. It has never had any major repairs and has been extremely reliable. I have kept all records. This car has every conceivable option that was available (including factory Remote Start, XM radio, heated front seats and side mirrors, power tilt and slide front sunroof, fog lights, Rear DVD Entertainment System and On-Star) except it doesn't have a multi disc CD player. Mine has a single disc type. It has only been in one accident as stated in the vehicle history where someone hit my wife in the right rear flank and wheel well. All damage was repaired by our insurance. Also years ago, when my wife was at a school, someone backed out and creased my front right fender behind the headlight and broke my side mirror. The right side mirror was replaced with a comparable non painted one, and I put chrome covers on both sides. The incident was never reported because there was no information left buy the person that did it. And, we did not know it till my wife got home and I saw the damage. Also I accidentally bumped into a white metal pole fence and scraped up the left rear bumper. The left wheel arch has a slight dimple. Those are all the body related damages I can think of, besides some fine scratches under the door handles, which is normal. It should be noted that this car IS NOT involved with the huge ignition switch recall that GM is having, however it is involved with two others that I'm aware of, one is waiting on parts. There are some interior flaws where the black vinyl on the doors have some small tears, and the seats and carpets have some stains that will come out with a professional cleaning, in my opinion. The left driver's seat on some of these cars had a bad weld in the lower left seat frame, and mine broke. I was able to use it still, but the power seat features were affected, such as the height adjustment. I bought a replacement fabric seat to replace the leather driver seat that has power, but I did not know it had manual forward and aft adjustments, and it had no side air bag, so now my airbag light comes on. But I still have the old seat, and can put it back in there if you like. There is nothing wrong with the air bags. I have eagle decorations and themes all over the car, such as the rear "wing" spoiler. This is easily removable, and is not bolted on, if you don't want it, as is the rear window graphic. The eagle seat covers are removable. The eagle hood ornament is bolted on and it lights up. The side fender emblems used to light up, but they burned out. I have new replacements if you want. There are some Technical Bulletins that have come out that were not done on this car, but they are minor, such as an occasional noise or rumble in the dash, which I thought was a damper but they say are hard lines rubbing the expansion tank. (Their "fix" calls for installing some foam!) The front tires are almost new Firestones and the rear has BF Goodrich with good treadwear left. The original chrome clad alloys were recently replaced by some almost new American Racing Alloy Wheels that look fantastic. Rear seat has 60/40 split that you can't see, and they slide forward and back some, and they recline somewhat. The hatch area has an adjustable and removable tray. The hatch support struts are getting weak and may need replacing. The rear DVD comes with two wireless headphones and a remote. One headphone cushion has a tear in it. All the batteries have been removed. I have not had this car professionally detailed anytime recently, but it still looks great and we aren't mad at it. Just having some financial difficulties and health issues, so trying to sell it. CLEAR title in hand. I cannot ship this but if the buyer wants to arrange it I can meet up with you in Philadelphia, even if you fly in and drive it home. Two keys and one remote key fob, and owner's manual. The car's oil gets changed regularly, and has had a recent tune up. Hopefully I have covered everything but please look at the pictures and ask any questions prior to bidding. Check my feedback and bid in confidence! God Bless America, and thank you!

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
