1975 Chevrolet Blazer K5 on 2040-cars
Fork, Maryland, United States
This 1975 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is unlike anything you have seen before not to mention it is topless. It is the
perfect truck for tailgating with its large size and insane entertainment package. In 1975, Chevrolet's K5 Blazer
was born to stand out due to its nice finishes and enormous size, however, this truck takes it over the top. This
show truck is finished in Corvette's Nassau Blue with a Hok Blue Marble and Violet Purple hockey stripe. One other
feature that makes this truck pop is that the interior is finished in a one of a kind fabric, Shark Skin. This
makes for a unique interior that has not been seen on any other truck. The engine is 454 cubic inches which thus
puts out upward of up to 475 horsepower. Before us there were two others that had owned the truck making the total
number of owners at three but each owner took amazing care of the show truck. While old, this car still screams new
having underwent a three year nut and bolt restoration. All of the records having to do with the restoration are
kept in a 4" binder that has everything from each receipt to a breakdown of each part. Many NOS (New Old Stock)
parts and badges were used on this truck creating yet a mix of vintage and modern appearance to this truck. The
truck's frame is the original sheet metal with a powder coated frame. Also, we have the unrestored top to this
truck. This truck is 100% rust free! Its whole life it has been garage kept which has been helpful to keep up its
amazing appearance.

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim
Wed, 03 Apr 2013Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.
Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out
Thu, 29 Apr 2010Chevrolet Camaro goes to South Korea - Click above for high-res image
General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit
Mon, 04 Mar 2013We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.
