Well maintained 1994 2 Door Blazer (mechanically identical as 2 Door Tahoe and Yukon), I am the 2nd owner (last 12 years). 220k highway miles, used this truck to go back and forth to Connecticut and New York. Must see.   No oil leaks, used Mobil 1 synthetic and it shows.  Meticulously maintained.    All scheduled maintenance performed on time every time with quality fluids / parts.

Transmission replaced at 103k.

Hypertech Stage II Chip - This car is ODB 1, so this chip is a 25 HP bump, but firms up the shifts to make them more comfortable and also preserves the transmission life.  Runs on 91+ octane (and as such, this is the only fuel used for the last 130k).

Tinted windows to legal VA limits (50% front, 1% rear).

CB Radio with PA system.

4x4 with G80 locking differential

Polar Bear Grill guard, with Hella Black Magic off road lights.

Powerful stereo (2 amps, 2500w).  1500w Sony amp, 1000w Rockford Fosgate.  Sub box can be moved and disconnected and doesn't interfere with the cargo area.

Newer AC compressor.  AC blows ice cold (I own 3 vehicles and this blows the coldest by far).

Baer cross drilled and slotted rotors in the front.  This eliminates the warping issue that these trucks are known for.

BFG All Terrain 285/75/16 with plenty of tread left.  Largest size that will fit without a lift or rubbing.  This is the best off road yet still street-able tire around.  It's stock on the F150 Raptor and H2.

Some small scratches as can be expected from a 19 year old vehicle, however paint is in excellent shape for the age, mirror like reflection.  When I drove this vehicle full time, I used to wash it weekly and wax it monthly in the spring.

Only thing this truck needs is a new rear fuel line.  Other imperfections which don't NEED to be fixed, but could if you really wanted to are: rear bumper has typical rust spots, no need to replace.  Front left fender is starting to show typical signs of rust on this vehicle (also on Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe and they share same parts), however has not broken the paint.
Fuel line kit which is needed to fix the leak can be found for $160 - http://www.linestogo.com/fl504-b/

*The 'accident' that is reported in 9/2003 on the eBay autocheck was not an accident, however a replacement of the rear glass which the glass company reported to autocheck.  As far as I know, this truck has never been in an accident, (I did a Carfax when I bought it back in 2001 and have never been in one myself and am the only driver).

*Vehicle will be available in Alexandria VA 22310.  Shipping / pick up is the responsibility of the buyer.

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
