Very solid, rust free California car. No rust, no bondo and no previous damage.

95% original everything. The top has been replaced (and is still nice) and the car has
been painted once A long time ago. The plastic rear window needs replacement, as you can no longer see thru It. There are new tires all around. The paint looks good as is, there are some flaws, but you
Have to look real close. Very straight body, no dings or dents.
Looks like it has only 49k miles on it. The wear and tear shows it, and all the undercarriage
Is original. The interior looks all original but maybe the carpet has been replaced.
Runs and drives great, engine is quiet and runs very smooth. Does not smoke, there are some
Oil leaks, ( like they all do) looks like from the valve cover gaskets. Transmission shifts smooth, and does not
Slip. Steers straight, and brakes well. Handles good, no rattles, shimmys or any issues.
Ever wonder why no seller is showing the undercarriage? This car is solid as the day it was built,
I could have painted it and it would have looked better, but wanted everyone to see it as is,
All you are seeing is surface discoloration and surface rust that would brush off. The wheel wells and lips are perfect, NO RUST!
Comes with the factory manuals and some aftermarket parts books.
I purchased from a charity auto auction recently, and have done nothing to it.
The owner passed and the family donated to charity. I do not have much documents on it.
I believe that you would be hard pressed to find a nicer solid corvair that can be enjoyed as is,
Or restore this survivor to a show car.
I have the clean and clear CA title in hand.
Please contact me for any additional pics or questions.
Please bid only if you are serious about owning this rare classic car.
I want the purchaser to be completely happy with this car, if you are the successful high bidder,
And for any reason you are not satisfied with it when you pick it up, I will return your deposit and cancel the sale no questions.
$1000 PayPal deposit at end of auction, and remainder within a week.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
