Hi, up for grabs is my California born, full frame off and restored 1963 Chevy Impala SS. You can tell by the pictures that this car is in awesome condition in and out. Below I will try and describe this car to the best of my knowledge.
Starting with the outside: Completely redone with not a single flaw on the body. The paint is a beautiful baby blue. All the chrome and stainless outside is either brand new, repolished, or rechromed. Both bumpers and bumper guards are redone also in excellent shape. All emblems, outside mirrors, outside door handles, outside moldings, both antennas, and outer license plate frames are new. All the glass is in excellent shape with no visible scratches or cracks. All exterior lights are in proper working order. Its rolling on a brand new set of staggered 20s & 18s Foose rims. Car has front slotted powwer disc brakes. Cars exterior is beautiful !!
Inside: everything was completely redone. All seats have new foam and covers, all door panels, armrests & bases, inner door handles, all pedal covers, aftermarket stock deck, door sill plates, floormats, and ebrake lever. Carpet and headliner arent new but still in good shape. Theres also power windows including vent windows, and tilt steering column. All electrical including heater, wipers, turn signals, etc work as they should.
Engine & Transmission: Motor is a crate 350 with everything new under the hood. Theres powdercoated fenderwells, radiator support, and fan shroud. Theres chrome headers, chrome alternator and bracket, chrome power brake booster & reservoir, CPP upgraded power steering, chrome Impala valve covers & aircleaner, aluminum radiator & overflow bottle, new Delco battery, wiper fluid bottle, chrome hose covers, etc... you get the point . Everything is done.
Transmission is a 700r4 which in my opinion is the best one for these cars if you plan to drive it on the freeways. This car is a very strong runner. I wouldnt hesutate to drive this car anywhere...yes anywhere.
Trunk is very clean also with no signs of rust anywhere. Theres a newer trunk mat and jacking instructions decal to top it off. Undercarriage looks brand new but maybe a little dusty.
This car is great inside and out and is priced accordingly. I will listen and consider all reasonable cash offers but please know its not going to be cheap. I have no problem selling this car overseas. I sell them there all the time and can actually help with the arranging of the shipping to the LA port of your choice for a reasonable additional charge. Please dont hesitate to call or text me at 408-712-9427 if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks !!

2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.
