1951 Chevy pickup truck 4x4 deluxe 5 window. This truck currently runs and drives and is roadworthy but it still needs work. I would love to keep this truck but i do not have any more money to invest into this truck. This truck has been in my family for 14 years. The truck had a body off restoration from 1999-2006. The suspension and body lift was done by an off road shop in California. The bodywork, paint, engine and wiring was done by My father and I. we have over $15,000 invested into this truck. The truck needs bodywork and another paint job, it needs interior finished and bed wood installed. The truck is a 3/4 ton short bed. all lights and turn signals work I drive the truck about once a week. The truck has all new weatherstripping and a painless wiring harness. The windshield wiper motor has been converted to 12 volts all lights and gauges have been converted to 12 volts. I also have a Maynard heater installed in the cab.The truck will be sold with a bill of sale. I can get the title in about a week once the truck is paid for.

If you have anymore questions about the truck feel free to call me at 775-671-2991

Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Tue, 28 Aug 2012

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.
