I am listing for sale my 2007 3SS AWD Trailblazer for sale. I have owned the car for nearly 3 years and it's been blast to drive. Unfortunately, my job requires me to travel quite a bit and its time to get a cheap car thats good on fuel economy. Now for the details:

Motor:
About 1.5 years ago, the original motor gave out on me. I took the car to Chad Barton at CBI in St. Louis to replace the motor, and he mentioned to me that he had a motor built for boost currently assembled, so I decided to take the plunge. The motor may be a few cubic inches less than the LS2 that was originally in the car, but this thing is built to handle boost. I have put less than 3000 miles on the motor, and it has never seen more than 5 pounds of boost or been raced. I've truly babied it, and to be honest rarely had time to drive it in the last year. The details:

- 347 ci forged LS1
- Custom forged diamond boost pistons with -8.6cc dish, 3.095" bore
- Fully balanced and blueprinted shortblock
- ARP main studs
- Main caps have been pinned
- Katech c5r timing chain, ls7 lifters, melling oil pump
- ARP headbolts, comp 918 valve springs, ls9 headgaskets

Other mods:
- STS Turbo Kit with 67mm turbo
- 60lb injectors
- AEM widebang
- Autometer boost gauge
- Finish-Live Level 5 transmission
- Yank Multi Disk 3200 stall
- 2-step launch control
- Cool Start remote starting system

It put down 450awhp on the original motor at 8psi. Currently, I drive the car around on 5lbs of boost and have never felt the need to turn it up since the new motor was installed. The car is incredibly mild when cruising around, and truly is a great daily driver. If one feels the need to turn up the boost however, this motor/transmission combo is built to handle what you throw at it.

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4

Wed, 29 May 2013

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.

C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."
