I am selling my 2011 Dodge 5500 Crew Cab SLT 6 speed Manual in Great Condition. This truck was used to pull a three car wedge type trailer mainly in the Midwest and southeast. I'm  selling this truck because I purchased a Freightliner truck with a sleeper and no longer use this truck. Almost all mileage is Highway miles. It is a clean truck inside and out. No major dents or scratches on the exterior of the truck. The bed has scratches and some surface rust on it, nothing major. The interior is very clean, no rips or any stains to speak of still looks NEW. please check the pictures as you will see the window sticker that lists all the features on the truck. the truck also has an extra 50 gallon fuel tank mounted on the passenger side of the truck giving the truck a total of about 105 gallon capacity. Tires are good, Brakes are good. The transmission, clutch and flywheel were replaced around 50,000 miles ago I believe (I don't have the paperwork in front of me but i do have records of all repairs made). The turbo, alternator and fan clutch have also been replaced on the truck. The oil and oil filter was changed every 7500 miles along with fuel filter every other oil change and all major repairs were done at Dodge Dealerships. Naturally it has been used so its not brand spanking new but its dang close. It is not the base model truck so it has carpet with extra sound dampening, built in trailer brake controller, Exhaust Brake,  power windows, locks, drivers seat, etc. Remote keyless entry, cd player, SiriusXm Sat. radio, 110v power outlet, and the A/C still blows COLD, etc. I have taken very good care of this truck and its ready to go to work! Please feel free to email me any questions.

Truck is being sold AS-IS no warranty! I can help arrange shipping if needed.

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.

Small number of 2013 Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger models recalled

Sun, 24 Feb 2013

A small number of units of the 2013 Chrysler 200 (inset) and 2013 Dodge Avenger are being recalled over a broken control valve in the fuel tank assembly. The potential 1,785 sedans were manufactured late last year, and if affected with a broken control valve could suffer from stalling or fuel leakage.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notes that the recall should begin next month, at which time owners can take their cars to dealers for repair free of charge. The full release with more information is just below.

Chrysler almost smothered the Hellcat before it lived

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

Chrysler's 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 was an absolute sensation from the very moment it was announced, and honestly, how could it not have been? Packing 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, its numbers immediately put every other production muscle car (and many supercars) to shame. Plus, we soon learned that would be wrapped in a package retailing for around $60,000 - a pittance compared to other vehicles offering similar grunt. However, the Hellcat almost never got the chance to rumble under the hood of the Challenger and Charger.
The Hellcat was initially proposed back in 2011, back when Fiat was deciding its future strategy for Chrysler Group, according to Automotive News. At the time, the company was just emerging from its bankruptcy doldrums, and an ultra-high-performance V8 wasn't exactly a must-have item. The program didn't move forward. However, SRT engineers kept fighting, according to AN, and four months later, they received the green light to pull the project off the shelf and continue developing the Hellcat. The muscle car world is certainly better for that decision.
The work of those engineers focused on taking Chrysler's standard 6.2-liter V8 and making it reliably handle all of the extra power from the supercharger. "It came down to micron levels of changes in the crank to be able to withstand the pressures of the engine," said Chris Cowland, director of advanced and SRT powertrain, to Automotive News. The changes amounted to switching out about 91 percent of the parts to make the Hellcat, including some quite minuscule alterations. For example, the washer holding the supercharger pulley is embedded with industrial diamonds to keep it from slipping.
