1992 Stealth Nice solid stealth ready to be driven. I bought this car from the second owner. He kept it garaged most of it's life. He stated to me that this stealth had never been wrecked. While it has no rust it does have it's share of chips and minor scratches (especially on the front of hood). I bought this stealth in Ohio and drove it home 500 miles with no issues. I intended on making this my driver but I have several other cars and found myself not driving this one so it's time to let it go to somebody else that can enjoy this reliable little sports car. It doesn't leak or use any oil and has no weird noises or knocks. It shifts fine through all the gears and drives down the road nicely. Every thing works on the car except for the oil pressure gauge. According to second owner timing belt was changed at 89k. Has cold a/c and hot heat. The interior is very clean with just a few small tears on top of driver's door panel. The seats are firm with no tears or marks. There is an after market stereo which didn't fit in bezel like the original. All in all this is a very solid car that I would drive anywhere. Consistent with it's age it does have a few marks and chips but nothing major. This car is also being listed locally so I reserve the right to end auction early. Mopar '14 teased, returns to Challenger
Wed, 16 Oct 2013Every year, Mopar selects one special vehicle from the Chrysler portfolio and creates its own, one-off, special edition. Previously, there was the Mopar '13 Dart, '12 300, '11 Charger and the '10 Challenger, and for 2014, this teaser image shows that the company will be giving the unique treatment to Dodge's muscle coupe yet again.
Mopar has not revealed any details about its '14 Challenger, though the brand's president and CEO, Pietro Gorlier, says that "This limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance." All we know is, it's white, has some blue stripes, and a black (or carbon fiber) rear spoiler.

Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]

Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.
Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene
Tue, 13 May 2014Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track.
