1967 Dodge Coronet 440 with 318 motor and automatic transmission

First of all, I do not have a title for the car. They are obtainable, but you'd have to go through the paperwork process or hire a company that does it. I believe they charge around $800. Car comes up as "not in system" in NJ as it has been many years since it has been registered. I bought the car from a friend who purchased from the family of someone that passed away. I do not have any way of contacting previous owners.

The 318 engine starts and runs. However it will most likely need a valve job or engine rebuild as it does blow some blue smoke when revved up. I do not have it running thru the gas tank at this time due to the tank not being used in many years and probably needs flushing out. I just have a small bottle of gas in the engine compartment. It shifts in and out of gear, however there are absolutely no brakes (never looked at why) so its not drive-able.

The floors are all in really good shape. The only rust/hole I can find is directly under the gas pedal. Its about 1"x 2" or so. Trunk is very good also with just a couple rust holes in the dropped down spare tire area. The frame looks straight and solid as well. I cannot see any damage that had ever occurred to the car.

The body overall isn't too bad. Quarters appear to original and the only Bondo I found is on the driver fender which is apparent by looking at it as the paint has worn off. The doors need the most attention as the bottom have rusted out. The gaps look good and the doors open and close. Driver window crank is jamb, probably due to rust in the mechanism so it doesn't go up and down. All glass is there and is good. There are various areas of rust and dents on the body here and there, but nothing I consider major. Other than the trim on the side of the car, everything thing is there and the car is complete.

The interior is in pretty decent shape. All original dash with no cracks. Front seat is fine as well as door panels. Its presentable. Rear seat has some rips and headliner will need to be replaced

Car has VIN and Fender Tag on it.

If interested in taking a look at it, please call me and we can arrange a time. Please remember, I have no title for the car. This is an older car for parts, race car build, or project. If you bid on it, please be serious about owning it. I've had 3 people say they are 'taking it' but no-one followed through. Car will need to be picked up as soon as possible and you will need a trailer. Ken 732-278-6303

I also have a 440 motor, transmission, and driveshaft for the car. I had planned on putting the larger motor in the car and these a the 3 key pieces you need. The motor is stamped B 440 which I'm told is a 66 - 68 vintage. It does not have accessories on the motor. I bought this and was told it was a fairly fresh build and had some high performance to it. It has been sitting a few years and I would go thru it before installing it. The transmission needs to be rebuilt I'm told. It appears to be a 67 - 68 year. Driveshaft looks fine. The motor/trans/driveshaft can be purchase separately for an Additional $1200. That's what I paid for it and I'm looking to break even. They are NOT included in the auction for the car

This was going to be a project, but I decided to buy a restored car instead

2013 Dodge Dart gets brace of new special edition models

Thu, 16 May 2013

After almost a year on the market it, it is becoming more clear to Dodge how customers like to option out their Darts, so the automaker has combined popular features into three special edition packages and sweetened the prices. Start with a standard 2013 Dart and add either the SXT or Limited "Special Editions" or Rallye Appearance Group, and you'll save yourself a lot of box checking.
The $595 Dart SXT Special Edition takes the trim just above the base model and adds a new grille, dark-tinted headlights and projector fog lights, LED racetrack taillights, cruise control and audio controls on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Limited Special Edition starts with the top-end model and adds a power sunroof, heated front seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and Nappa leather seats among other features, for $1,810.
The Rallye Appearance Group (pictured) is a package for the SXT, and it blacks out the front fascia, throws on 17-inch wheels and some badging for $395. The new special editions are reaching dealers now and could help the Dart's sales to further improve after a slow start. You can find out more about them in the press release below.

Has Dodge stepped in it again with Scat Pack lawsuit?

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

Lawsuits are an unfortunate part of doing business in just about any industry, so the latest complaint filed by a California-based aftermarket firm against Chrysler would seem to be nothing more than business as usual. But this isn't the first time the two companies have sparred over this particular issue.
According to a report from Automotive News, the dispute revolves around the Scat Pack name that Chrysler first offered on the Charger, Coronet, Dart and Super Bee starting in 1968. Scat Enterprises, a manufacturer of crankshafts and other components for Dodges and other vehicles, sued Chrysler for using its name. A few years later the Scat Pack disappeared from the Dodge catalog.
Fast forward to August 2013 when Chrysler applied to register the Scat Pack name anew. The US Patent and Trademark Office turned down Chrysler's application, but the automaker proceeded anyway, unveiling new Scat Packs for the Challenger, Charger and Dart at last year's SEMA show.

Watch 1,414-hp worth of Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat do stereo burnouts

Tue, 08 Jul 2014

When Dodge announced that the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat would produce 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque from its supercharged 6.2-liter V8, automotive enthusiasts were shocked. The company had promised us that it would be powerful, but no one expected for the muscle car to post even larger numbers than the range-topping Viper.
Car and Driver recently got ahold of two new SRTs and decided that the only proper way to show them off was by lighting up the rears in stereo. With a combined 1,414 horsepower, the pair of them make burnouts from the Hellcat V8 look as easy as breathing. The tires start spinning at the slightest provocation and just don't stop. If you buy one of these, it looks like you and the employees at the local tire store are going to be on a first name basis.
Scroll down to watch these two Hellcats to lay down enough smoke to alert the local hook and ladder trucks.
