We bought this as a repo unit to install a service body and use as a service truck for our company. We believe this truck has been sitting since pretty much 2009 or 2010 after talking to the repo company. When we bought it the instrument cluster was missing and the transmission was not working. We installed a new VP44 injection pump and a new lift pump. We ordered a used cluster off ebay so all the gauges and everything work but the mileage is not right as the mileage is stored in the cluster from the last truck it was on. The last time the truck was titled it had 161,451 miles. We had the transmission rebuilt and drove the truck for about two months daily until the transmission failed again. The shop that built it would not honor their warranty and we are just done putting money into this truck. It ran excellent and is a great driving truck. The dash has broken pieces on top and on the fascia. The seats are worn. The paint is terrible. It has dents.  It's literally a WORK TRUCK.  It appears to have a 4.5" Skyjacker long arm lift and traction bars. Some one installed some type of heavy duty rear end in it along with a lot of pillar guages.

Truck just needs a transmission. Nothing else.
VP44 Injection pump was bought 7/02/13 and still has a lot of the 1 year warranty left. Was purchased at Associated Fuel Systems in Atlanta

We found a shop in Atlanta that says they will R&R and rebuild the transmission with a warranty for $1,600.00

Truck runs and drives as it is but the transmission starts slipping after it gets hot.

Just want some money back out of it so we can put it towards our other service trucks.

QB says University of Alabama offered him a Corvette to play football

Fri, 16 May 2014

The University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team could be in some hot water, following a pair of posts on social media.
The first post was sure to raise a few eyebrows on its own. It's an Instagram of sophomore running back Derrick Henry standing in front of his new Dodge Challenger (we're guessing it's an R/T based on the fender stripes). Complete with a custom set of wheels, the image was enough to trigger more than a few questions about where an unemployed student-athlete came up with the money for such a purchase. Now, this could be harmless. Henry, flush with a full-ride to Bama could have convinced his parents to get him something nice with his college fund.
The second post, though, is a straight-up accusation. It comes from former West Virginia Mountaineer and current CFL quarterback Pat White, who posted the following on his Facebook page.

Real-life Bravado Banshee from Grand Theft Auto up for sale

Sun, 01 Jun 2014

Remember the Bravado Banshee that West Coast Customs built last year to promote Grand Theft Auto V? Given away by GameStop, the woman who won it says she's better off with money to send her two kids to college than with a race car, so now you can steal buy it on eBay.
Based on a 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10, every exterior panel was redesigned to match the Banshee, and the red embroidered badging inside won't let you forget it. There's still that V10 up front that can make some kind of racket, and a SEMA-worthy stereo filling the entire trunk to make a different kind of racket. Oh, it's also got hood struts that have crapped out, so you'll notice the hood is held up with a wooden rod.
The auction ends on June 5, and you can make an offer or hit the Buy It Now button and hand over $170,000. Might be time to change the outfit and run a few jobs for some quick cash.

Coal-rolling Ram dually does tandem beer-shooting burnout with ATV in bed

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Sometimes a video comes around that just makes you shake your head in disbelief. Take for example these guys from Nebraska in their dually diesel flatbed Ram, doing a smoky burnout. Lighting up the tires is nothing new, but these folks take things a step further by having another guy on an ATV in bed that is also smoking the tires. Finally, people are sitting on a couch in the bed taking the whole show in, as beer cans shoot out of the stacks.
There have been several stories recently about the scourge of rolling coal, i.e., diesel trucks modified to lay down a thick, black smoke screen, sometimes for vaguely political reasons. Whatever your opinion is on it, breathing in this much nasty stuff isn't exactly great for your health. Of course, it turns out that burning rubber is pretty awful, too. Both diesel and tire emissions contain cancer-causing Group 1 carcinogens. Combine them with the cigarette smoking here, and these guys are an oncologist's nightmare. Scroll down to take it all in for yourself. Warning, there is a little explicit language.
