2006 Dodge Slt Crewcab 4x4 Longbed 5.9 Diesel on 2040-cars
La Place, Louisiana, United States
My truck went under fresh water for about 1 hour, a few hours later all fluids where drained found only a few ounces in bottom of oil pan same in transmission just a few ounces. The interior was remove to dry the cab and seat. The fluids have been replaced. The truck is in super condition last year I spent 7k on parts, 6 injectors, a new turbo, fuel rail, lights front and rear rims and tires new intercooler, radiator, new grill, new fogg lights, new compressor and condensor coil. Truck did start last week by bypassing a few things. I just today bought and installed a new $800.00 fuse panel. The truck looks great and just need some electronics changed, the drive train is perfect and there is no rust. Interior was dried with a dehumidifier and a ozone generator it just needs put back in. On Apr-22-14 at 09:29:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Started the truck today and it ran for about a min or so . The dash was removed and all connections was sprayed with corrosion X but all electrical components must be replaced that is the only reason you can't start it and drive it. With a new key switch and other electrical dash components the truck should start and drive fine. |

We had individual brand reports from Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Maserati and even Ferrari, but in the interest of simplifying and summarizing, we're going to list out the hard facts once more. Of course, with all of this still off in the future, there's still the possibility that a few changes will be made. But as of what we know right now, here's what's coming, and what's going away.

I sold my Viper, but the memories I'll keep
Thu, 30 May 2013The following is written by auto industry veteran Tow Kowaleski. The words are his own, but the memories now belong to everyone thanks to his willingness to share. If you're an industry veteran with a story to share, contact us at tipsATautoblogDOTcom.
It became the flame that started the fire of belief in the next life of Chrysler.
I just sold a car. Nothing new. Millions do it every day. But my car was a 1995 Dodge Viper, so maybe it was a bit more unique since just 12,000 were built. And like others selling a car that's been a part of the family for close to 20 years, this was a confluence of emotions for me. I was sad to see it go, but happy to have the cash and one less big, shiny, under-utilized object in my life.
NHTSA investigating 110,000 Ram 2500s and 3500s, one death alleged
Fri, 23 May 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation focusing on 110,000 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2004 to 2006. One death has already been reported, according to NHTSA, due to a potential fault with the clutch interlocks on manual-transmission versions of the heavy duty pickup.
According to the report, these trucks can be started without depressing the clutch. There have been three reports so far, and as we mentioned above, one very sad incident seems to have resulted in the death of a child.
"One complaint involved an incident that occurred when a child was able to enter the vehicle and start the ignition without depressing the clutch. The vehicle then moved forward striking another child resulting in a fatality," NHTSA said in the investigation bulletin, which you can view below.
