I have posted 88 pictures below for the Mustang, 100% a Forida Mustang..you can see the car is truly stunning..the car started as a stock GT..outside 18" custom chrome rims were added with new radials, custom body stripes were added..hood has painted black insert plus black smoked plexi headlight covers.  The exterior is an 8 out oif 10..some small minor blemishes, nothing standout..interior is very nice, leather seats, nice clean dash and doorpanels, nice carpets, note driver's seat has some blemishes (no rips or tears)..best is to study the photos..mechanically the car runs and drives perfectly..just installed a newly rebuilt 5 spd. transmission, new clutch..mechanical upgrades include..C&L RPM Series Plenum,75mm Throttle Body and 3 Pully under drive pulleys, STEEDA High Flow Intake, STEEDA High Flow Intake Manifold, STEEDA long tube Headers with MAGNIFLOW, STEEDA H-Pipe and Exhaust (sounds unbelievable!!), STEEDA Cold Air Intake, STEEDA lowering springs all corners, STEEDA rack and pinion bar, RED 30lb. fuel injectors and STEEDA short throw shifter..if you add all those upgrades parts and labor you come close to $3000 in extras alone...The car has only 45,560 miles on it and has lived here in Florida!!  If your are looking for an "eye factor" ride, this one will do it for you..PERFORMANCE TO THE MAX with this one and no mechanical issues..bottom line, this GT makes quite a statement not only visually, but also with its potential break neck, unforgiving performance potential when stepping on the pedal !!  I would not hesitate driving the car to California if necessary, the car is truly that strong and reliable....If you need any more information, pleas call 407-430-3798

Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo

Sun, 27 Apr 2014

When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.
You'll find a reminder of Ford Australia's heyday, a raucous exhaust note and some NSFW language in the short video below.

Ford Focus EV's slow sales trigger massive incentives

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

The Detroit News reports Ford is having real trouble moving its new Focus Electric. As a result, the automaker is offering substantial incentives in an attempt to lure in more buyers. How substantial? Try $10,750 off of a three-year lease. What's more, the EV can now be had for $37,995 ($2,000 less than its original base price) on top of an additional $2,000 cash discount to buy the EV outright - or you can opt for 1.9-percent financing if you work through Ford Motor Credit. None of which factors in various potential government incentives. Last year, Ford managed to sell a paltry 685 of the 1,627 Focus EV hatchbacks it built.
Ford isn't alone in trying to woo more buyers to its EV effort. Nissan cut the price of its Leaf by a whopping 18 percent for 2013, now down to $28,800 and built in the USA. The move followed the automaker's substantial incentives in 2012.
If you want a Focus Electric, you can now apparently get your hands on one for as little as $285 per month with $930 due at signing for a 36-month lease with 10,500 miles per year.

The fascinating forgotten civil defense history of Mister Softee trucks

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

Hemmings came across an interesting article from the Throwin' Wrenches blog about the intersection of ice cream, cars and civic duty in America's late 1950s. In particular, it focuses on the Mister Softee trucks, which criss-crossed neighborhoods of the eastern US serving ice cream. Looking past the ultra-durable vehicles used - heavy-duty Ford-based chassis, for what it's worth - the article delves into some deeper national-security territory.
See, Mister Softee truck owners were voluntary members of the Civil Defense, thanks to all the useful stuff (potable water, generators, freezers and fridges) that the machines carried with them for serving ice cream. Click over to Throwin' Wrenches for the full run down of how Mister Softee would have stepped in to help fight if the Cold War ever turned a little hotter.
