1969 Ford Bronco With 351 Windsor on 2040-cars
Little Silver, New Jersey, United States
If you are in a witness protection program, don't buy this bronco. It is loud and gets noticed. I purchased this bronco from California, but it has a background from Colorado. It has a 351 Windsor, power steering, 3 spd on the floor and is all around the most fun car/truck I have ever owned. I STRONGLY encourage you to come see it for yourself! because it is that bad ass. http://youtu.be/fjmdY_KSM1o No issues that I am aware of at all. I am not a 'car guy' but my local mechanic has taken care of maintenance and any issues. It starts up every time and runs like a top......if you are serious, I am happy to do a FaceTime with you and show you how it starts and runs etc. I am selling because we are about to put our house through a remodel and I will lose my garage for 4 months. My kids don't even know it is for sale, and they will not be happy. I can try to answer any questions, but again would encourage you to come see it or send someone. I have owned 3 Broncos and looked at hundreds, this one is the best value for the $ and gets looks from kids to grannies. Good luck. Please call 732-859-8451 if you have questions. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will try to help. Also, this is 40+ year old truck. It is not perfect, but it very very cool. |

Are you Ford's next Bullitt Mustang? [w/poll]
Thu, 27 Mar 2014Ford has a long history of offering special editions of its legendary Mustang. One of the most vaunted of those trim packages, though, has only been offered twice. The first time was in 2001, and then again in 2008. Yes, we're talking about the Bullitt.
Named for the infamous Dark Highland Green Mustang Fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the 1968 cop melodrama Bullitt, the car was famous for not just its pilot, but the high-speed chase it took part in during the movie. Now, we think we have images of the next Bullitt.
According to our spy photographers, the paint is a "dead-ringer" for the Dark Highland Green that has signified these special edition Mustangs. While we're inclined to agree, it's also worth pointing out that this shade looks very similar to one of the 2015's other new colors, Guard. We've yet to see one on the road (let alone in such dreary conditions), so it's tough to say for certain.
Ford dealers offered discounts on tools to fix aluminum
Mon, 27 Jan 2014With the introduction of the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 (and the likely use of aluminum in future Ford products), Ford is looking to help its dealerships reduce costs related to repairing this more labor-intensive material. Automotive News is reporting that Ford dealers with body shops will require an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in equipment and training to work on aluminum, and to help alleviate the financial burden of the new F-150, Ford has announced a special 20-percent discount on this equipment.
Dealers will be able to save up to $10,000 on tools such as welders, air-filtration systems and rivet guns and to create aluminum-specific work stations. The new F-150 goes on sale in the fourth quarter, and dealers have until October 31 to take advantage of this deal, according to the report.
Bill Ford wins National Pond Hockey Championship with employees
Tue, 11 Feb 2014Who says executives aren't people? This past weekend, Bill Ford, executive chairman of Ford Motor Company, and a group of employees trekked up to Eagle River, WI for a few games of pond hockey. Team Ford took part in the 2014 Labatt Blue/USA Pond Hockey Championship, capturing its fifth title in the 50+ Tier 1 Division.
"It feels great to win," Ford, who plays on the team alongside other Ford employees, told the USA Hockey website. "It was fun to play [River Valley Pioneers] because they're great guys and we play them every year. We finally beat them, which we were due. It was a very clean game, a tough game."
The FoMoCo team managed to score seven goals to River Valley's two, and went undefeated in all five of its games during the tourney. Take a look below for the official press release on Team Ford's win.
