1974 Bronco Red Ford 4x4 on 2040-cars

This is my personal weekend driver and has been for the past 7 years. However I have purchased several bronco's this year and will be needing to make some room so you are looking at a 1974 Bronco with a 302 and automatic trans, disc brakes on front, and tilt column with power steering. This Bronco runs great and drives better than no other I have ever driven, which is saying a lot due to I have built more than 20 Bronco's. The V8 302 is STD. bore with flat top pistons and the crankshaft was polished not turned. It has new main, rod, and cam bearings. The camshaft is a mild RV which gives it just a little attitude. The heads were reworked at a local engine shop. It has new oil pump, timing chain set, and a new water pump. The intake is a 4 barrel originally from a 67 GT mustang with a holley 4 barrel carb that performs flawlessly in the summer or winter never need to use the choke. The headman headers and side exhaust make a good sound not to loud but a good little rumble. This truck is very solid southern truck but it did have the normal rust in the floor pans but this rust was cut out and metal replaced making it 100% rust free. The original instrument gauges all work correctly. The steering column is a tilt and the seat is a leather bench seat that folds up making it easier for the back passengers to get in. The top is a best top with tinted zip in windows.

  •      The transmission and transfer were built with new clutches and seals/ bearings. Driveshafts were replaced when the lift kit was installed. The rear end was built new bearings and seals, wheel cylinders and brake kit.  Front  end has all new bearings and seals, with disc brake conversion .
  •      LIFT KIT is a 2.5'' front and rear kit from wild horses with 4 degree bushings. It also has a 2'' body lift giving it 4.5 total inches of lift. The tires are new 32''goodyear that only have 500 miles on them.

other new parts

  • gorilla fender flares
  • shocks
  • wheel bearings
  • brake lines
  • starter
  • flywheel
  • alternator/regulator

Attention bidders this is not a $30,000 show truck just a good looking bronco that out drives and runs as well as those show trucks. There are a couple small scratch's but nothing big the overall appearance of this vehicle is great condition. It is very reliable can be driven anywhere. It only has 9,000 miles sense restored in 2007.

Ford debuts Fusion NASCAR racer that edges closer to stock [w/video]

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

The sixth-generation NASCAR Sprint Cup racecar, which will make its competition debut at the 2013 Daytona 500 this weekend, marks the closest thing to a "stock car" that the sport has seen in more than 20 years. No longer using just stickers to distinguish the different brands, the image above shows the lengths NASCAR and automakers went in order to create a racecar design that more closely resembles the individual cars they represent.
Ford, one of the more open and vocal OEMs regarding the Gen6 car's development, is giving us a closer look at its racing version of the Fusion with a pretty revealing side-by-side comparison with last years' racer (click above for an expanded view). Aside from the more realistic front end and production-like body lines, the overall shape, dimensions and proportions have also been designed to give the racecar a more stock appearance. Most of the new racer was designed by the Ford Design Center, which the automaker says was the first time it has been so involved in the design process since the 1960s. Of course, one area the Sprint Cup Fusion really differs from the production Fusion is its Ford Racing 5.8-liter V8 producing around 850 hp. Can you say Fusion SVT?

Next Shelby Mustang to wear GT350 nameplate

Fri, 21 Jun 2013

Earlier this month, rumors started to swirl 'round the web about the next-generation Ford SVT Mustang - the halo version of the all-new 2015 'Stang seen testing in the gallery above. Originally, we heard that the Shelby GT500 moniker would be dumped in favor of "a name you're familiar with," which some sources guessed could mean a return of the Cobra nameplate.
That might not be correct. According to Road & Track, citing a report from Mustangs Daily, the new range-topping Mustang will bring back the Shelby GT350 name - currently used on an aftermarket version of Ford's Pony produced by Shelby American (take a look at our recent Quick Spin of that car). Expect the new GT350 to be quite a bit different than the current GT500 - it will be all motor, using a V8 that's derived from the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote engine (though it will no doubt have a higher displacement). The GT350 will be a lot more powerful than the next Mustang GT, which is expected to offer something like 450 horsepower, but won't be quite as absurd as the 662-horsepower GT500 we currently enjoy.
The Shelby GT350 will reportedly bow with the rest of the new Mustang range at the 2014 New York Auto Show, which coincides exactly with the original Mustang's debut at the New York World's Fair in 1964. If that seems far out, don't worry, we'll be seeing the rest of the 2015 Mustang range before then, but Road & Track reports that the 2014 Detroit Auto Show stage will be reserved for the reveal of the next Ford F-150 pickup.

'Car Wars' says Ford, Honda to pick up share, Fiat-Chrysler ambitions downplayed

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

Don't look for a tremendous shifts in automotive market share over the next three years because it might not be coming. That's at least according to the annual Car Wars report by John Murphy, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research.
In the report's analysis of automakers' market share from 2013 to 2017, it predicts only small changes among the major companies. Ford and Honda see the biggest positive effect with an estimated 0.5 percent increase in their shares over the next three years; to 16.2 percent and 10.3 percent respectively. On the flip side, European automakers and Nissan are expected to lose 0.2 percent each to fall to 8.3 percent and 7.8 percent each respectively. The rest of the industry is predicted to hold steady as it is now.
The biggest loser in that prediction might be Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The report certainly throws a wet blanket on its plan for significant gains in market share. Murphy told The Detroit News that the company's goal was "almost unattainable."
