I've owned this truck since 2009. It runs perfectly and is very comfortable to drive.

In 2010 I added a Volo Fuel enhancement computer to the truck giving it an extra 6 miles to the gallon. This truck will give you 20-22 miles per gallon. Also, a professionally built hydrogen generator is installed, but not turned on (the fuse is taken out which supplies its power). The acrylic casing on the steel plate container for the generator is cracked from water freezing in it. The truck runs perfectly with the generator switched off. A new steel plate container will cost about $40.00. Before my casing cracked, I was getting 24-27 miles per gallon with the hydrogen generator working its magic. That is unheard of gas mileage in any truck. If you've never heard of the benefits of a hydrogen generator, please look it up. They are completely safe and will save you tons of money at the gas pump. Again, the truck has been running perfectly fine with only the Volo Fuel Enhancement Chip and no hydrogen generator for the last year. You will get at least 20 miles to the gallon with 89 octane. I only use Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil, which has been changed every 5000 miles. I had a full service at the Elizabethtown, KY Ford dealership last year where I got all new plugs, plug wires and all fluids changed. The tires are practically brand new. I purchased them in June, 2013 (they are 60,000 mile tires with just over 4,000 miles on them). I only drive this truck when I need to go to town for something. I walk to work, so the truck hardly gets any miles put on it. It is a 2004 model with just over 133,160 miles. Last year, I had Autosound of Elizabethtown install a Remote Started on the truck. It works perfectly.
 

There is no deferred maintenance on my truck.  It is in perfect running condition all the way around.  No Rust.  There are several hairline scratches and some small scuff marks around the body, but the paint is in very good condition in my opinion.  No replacement of any transfer case or differential fluids.  I just had the front Left side wheel bearing replaced Nov, 2013.  Both front brakes were replaced and the rotors were redone Nov, 2013.  Replace Front Right Wheel Bearing on 5/5/11.  Brand New MAXX-65N Battery on 8/13/13.  Remanufactured Alternator (P8499) on 8/9/13.

The HHO Kit is from: http://www.alternativempg.com/  There you can read about the HHO Kit that I installed.  I purchased the Fuel Cell, Reservoir Tank, and Installation Kit.  I purchased an amp meter and installed it myself.  I am skilled in electronics and you can inspect the installation yourself and see that it is a quality job.  In order to work, first, a new Fuel Cell will have to be purchased ($69.00 now on their website).  To run the unit, distilled water and either sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide (KOH) needs to be used.  I used only KOH which is a much better catalyst and it is clean.  I did not add alcohol to the fluid last season and the water in the fuel cell froze and cracked the acrylic.  I was getting 24 mpg with 89 test and 26 mpg with 93.

The only issue that I have with the truck is that sometimes the gear lever sticks in park and you have to shut off the truck, put it in neutral, restart it and put in gear. It works every time. It's not a transmission issue. I had the dealership look at it and they said that the wiring harness for the remote starter (which runs up the steering wheel wire harness) was pulling on the wire for the lever release mechanism. It only affects it sometimes, not all the time, and it does not impede your ability to start the truck. The interior of the truck is in very good condition, with normal seat wear. The arm rest cover is starting to peel back as you can see in my pictures. Otherwise, the interior is very nice. The truck is a gem and runs perfectly. Focus ST diesel variant coming, just don't look for it here

A few years back, Volkswagen made some waves when it announced the Golf GTD - a diesel-powered car that, aside from its ultra-efficient, ultra-torquey engine, was identical to the gas-powered GTI. That meant cosseting sport seats, larger wheels, sportier suspension, larger brakes and a body kit that made the GTD indistinguishable from the GTI, except for the three little letters on the back and in the grille.
Now, Ford is looking to replicate VW's success, with a diesel version of the Focus ST. According to Motor Trend, the diesel-powered ST will use a 2.0-liter, 182-horsepower four-cylinder. With an unspecified amount of torque on offer (we'd guess around 280 pound-feet), the diesel hot hatch should hit 62 miles per hour in about eight seconds.
The report, which originally comes from Auto Express, claims the ST Diesel was confirmed by Ford Chief Marketing Officer Mark Fields during this week's Geneva Motor Show. Not surprisingly, it doesn't appear there are any plans to bring a diesel-powered Focus of any kind to the US, let alone one that uses the suspension, steering and other items from the ST. Of course, if there's an official confirmation from Ford, we'll be sure to report on it.

NHTSA will investigate some Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ models for power steering issue

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening an investigation into the 2010-2012 Ford Fusion, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ, the 2012 MKZ Hybrid and 2011 Mercury Milan because the agency has hundreds of complaints of electric power steering failure in these models.
According to NHTSA's data, it has received 508 complaints of the power steering allegedly suddenly malfunctioning and resulting in increased effort to turn the wheel. In four incidents, these failures resulted in loss of control and crashes. According to the reports, in some cases a power steering warning message came on as the fault occurred, and other times the system restored itself by turning off and then restarting the vehicle. NHTSA said it has also received further field report data from Ford, but that information hasn't been publicly released yet.
For the moment, there isn't a recall for this failure on these models. NHTSA is just investigating them to "assess the scope, frequency and safety consequences of the alleged defect," and the agency says an estimated 938,000 vehicles could potentially be affected.
