1983 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE GLX. 3.6L V6 ENGINE WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THIS IS A TURN KEY CAR THAT RUNS AND DRIVES VERY WELL. THIS WAS A ONE OWNER CAR UNTIL WE PURCHASED IT. IT HAS 75,603 ORIGINAL MILES. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY SOLID CAR. EVERYTHING FUNCTIONS INCLUDING THE A/C AND POWER TOP. CAR DOES NEED SOME COSMETIC HELP, LIKE THE CONVERTIBLE TOP ( IT WILL NEED THE TOP REPLACED). THE INTERIOR NEEDS A DASH PAD OR A COVER AND THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT WILL NEED TO BE RECOVERED. THE REST OF THE CAR SHOULD CLEAN UP WITH SOME CLEANING AND DETAILING. THE PAINT IS OLD AND DOES HAVE SEVERAL CHIPS, SCRATCHES AND MINOR DENTS. THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT FIRST CAR.IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK.

Ford reports 58% drop in Q2 profits on European losses
Wed, 25 Jul 2012
Ford Motor Company announced Wednesday that it has posted a $1 billion profit for the second quarter of 2012. That sounds like good news for the Blue Oval, until you take into account that Ford posted a $2.4 billion profit for Q2 a year ago. That is a substantial 58 percent loss.
Ford also posted $465 million in international losses, with $404 million of those losses coming directly from Europe. The automaker also increased its European loss projections to $1 billion for 2012, due in large part to the economic crisis overseas, which has resulted in increased unemployment and decreased consumer confidence.
Ford bumped by Amazon in best-perceived brand list
Mon, 20 Jan 2014Back in July, a mid-year study from YouGov found Ford to have higher brand perception than any other company in the US. While Ford failed to top the year-end study, it still has plenty to brag about. The final BrandIndex report shows that online retail giant Amazon edged out Ford for the top ranking, while Subway, the History Channel and Lowe's rounded out the top five spots.
For Ford, it's still an improvement from sixth place in the 2012 study, and, more importantly, it dominated other automakers in terms of brand perception with a clear advantage over Toyota, Honda, Chevy and Volkswagen. To determine how well - or not so well - a brand is perceived, YouGov uses a Buzz score that asks respondents whether they've "heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth" and whether it was positive or negative. While it isn't clear how many respondents were included, YouGov does point out that Ford had a strong presence in social media, advertising and newsworthy toward the end of the year.

New UAW boss Williams talks tough, vows 'no more concessions'
Sun, 08 Jun 2014Dennis Williams, the newly elected president of the UAW, had some tough words for American automakers in his inauguration speech at the 2014 UAW Convention, striking down the possibility of any additional concessions from the 400,000-strong union.
"No more concessions. We are tired of it. Enough is enough," Williams said during his speech. UAW employees have not received a raise in nearly 10 years, according to Reuters.
Considering the recent strong results for Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, the union's demands are likely to carry a bit more weight in next year's negotiations. And considering Williams' tough stance, we could be in for some fireworks once negotiations commence.
