Note: new ford logo directional lights have been installed replacing the old plastic lights (see picture two).
This had a restoration 10 years ago.
Original 1940 flathead V8 & 3 speed top loader transmission. Nice driver. No smoke or overheating.
All parts & underside still new with some recent newer parts (brakes, etc). Accident free. New glass & seals.
Door roll-up windows work smooth; correct seals. All metal truck. Period era new wiring harness. Chromes: good
to excellent. No rust in floors or bed. The tailgate has no dents/ding (picture is deceiving).
NEW FORD logo front chrome directional lights w/glass lenses, Ford heater, & Ford front bumper. Most everything
works as well as the heater, directionals, dash/guage lights, horn. Ammeter gauge not working, but generator is
charging.

George W. Bush's 2009 Ford F-150 fizzles with $300,000 bid at Barrett-Jackson [UPDATE: w/video]
Sun, 20 Jan 2013Despite some truly impassioned pleading from Jay Leno himself - including calling on Arizona's notoriously Republican-rich voters to beat the $600,000 level set the last time Leno sold a vehicle for this particular charity... in California - bidding for George Bush's 2009 Ford F-150 pickup truck stalled at $300,000.
All proceeds will be sent to the Fisher House Foundation, so at least it's $300K going to a good cause. Feel free to check out the live image gallery above, which includes shots showing Leno's skills helming the auction, and read through the official auction description below.

Mon, 01 Jul 2013Comedian Jay Leno is changing gears from driving fast cars to checking out some of the police cruisers that regularly chase down and dish out punishment to those fast cars. In this episode of Jay Leno's Garage, we get the lowdown on the modifications made to the Ford Explorer for the Interceptor package (which looks pretty tough in its California Highway Patrol livery).
The new Ford is cool, but cooler still are the pack of classic CHP cars that Jay has along for the episode. A 1982 Mustang, 1966 Dodge Polara, 1970 Mercury Monterey and 2000 Crown Victoria are all in the shop. Sat, 14 Jun 2014He may be a few months late to the party, but in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang, Jay Leno has delivered a short video in which he runs down which of the Blue Oval's pony cars from the past 50 years are his favorites.
The list is pretty darn similar to our own, with some of the big names from the Mustang's half century making an appearance, while there are three or four cars here that we think you'll be pretty surprised by.
