Up for your consideration is this nicely built 1929 Ford Model "A" Roadster. Some of you may recognize the car from the Carlisle "Give Away" car from a while back. The car was auctioned and awarded to a gentleman who sold the car to a carclub member, from the club that built the car.A Pennsylvania man then purchased the car,who drove it for a few seasons before the car came to the current owner. So much for owner history. The body is fiberglass and the frame is the original Model "A" with the vin RBT06L88550529666 allowing the car to be registered as an original model "A" for those difficult states, like N.J. where it is currently titled, clean and ready for a new owner. The car is red in color, hand rubbed laquer, with colorful painted graffics above the running boards, see pix.The engine is a custom built 307 300 horsepower with very low milage. The ram horn manifolds were stainless coated and the entire exhaust is stainless chrome. The intake is Edelbrock Performer ,polished aluminum.Comp Cam with 454 lift,268 duration.600 CFM Holley Carb.Turbo 350 with B&M shift kit, stainless pan,Lokar shifter. USA Waler 3 core, keeps the temp nice and cool.Standard disc and drum brakes, with stainless lines and a "Duece Factory" brake pedal, linkage and dual master cylinder(1997 Nissan G20).Ron Francis wiring harness complete front to back.8 inch Ford rear with 308 gears, Carrera suspension with Alden adjustable coil overs and 4 bar, panhard chrome bars. The front suspension is Mustang II ,power ,independent, standard, rack and pinion steering, with chrome adjustable coil over and shocks. The frame is a stock 1929,boxed smoothed and Imron coated as well as the underbody, Imroned and mostly chrome and smoothed, none nicer from the underchassis.Interior is by John Wilkie, beige vinyl and tweed cloth in excellent condition.Stewart Warner gauges,Stage III mechanical.Grant Signature steering wheel with Ford column."Ten" AM/FM radio with cassette player and 4 speakers. Two of which are not pictured, they are installed in the trunk panel that was removed for the pix but is included in the sale,as well as the Carson top in excellent shape but a crappy picture of a picture of it  (its the only picture I have with the top on,I like it topless)  .The top is chopped 3 1/2 inches,remove-able "STAY FAST" canvas scotch guared. The body and hood are "Rootlieb" 4 piece louvered hood, top and sides. The roll pan and splash pans  are louvered steel as well. The best parts vailable were all used on this build and this car has very low milage since completion.Body and paint show very few defects and and is overall very good condition and ready to show/cruise.Additional pictures and description on request, and we strongly a test drive and examination in person, the car is much nicer than the pics and drives and handles VERY WELL.No dissapointments ,please email for viewing or a test ride.Car is located near Giants Stadium in Northern N.J. and any transportation will be provided and paid for by purchaser.I can assist in transporting to loading location and can drive to a closeby area for pick-up.A non-refundable $500.00 is required due to non payers. You cant build this car for double the money,if you are looking for this car there is none nicer for the price, check my feedback,3 car sales so far this year,no bull just horsepower.I can be reached for convenient viewing at (973)893-0610 before 9 PM PLEASE or simply email.THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!

Ford celebrates 1 millionth Mustang built at Flat Rock

Thu, 18 Apr 2013

Yesterday, the Ford Mustang turned 49 years old, and Ford didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate the one millionth version of the Mustang rolling off the assembly line at the Flat Rock Assembly plant. Production of the Mustang at Flat Rock coincided with the fifth-generation design launching in 2004, and the one millionth car was the car shown above, a 2014 GT convertible painted in Ruby Red.
In total, Ford has sold more than 8.5 million Mustangs since the original car went on sale, but some of the key milestones over the car's nine years at Flat Rock include the Shelby GT-H, Bullitt, Boss 302 and, of course, the 662-horsepower Shelby GT500. Scroll down for a press release celebrating Flat Rock's milestone Mustang.

How the Ford Shelby Mustang came to be

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.
