Bakersfield, California, United States
CUSTOMIZED 1949 FORD F3 RAT ROD TRUCK This build started off with a heavy duty Ford F3 3/4 truck then transformed to what you see with endless hours of work. This Truck has been chopped n modified from head to toe! You wont find another like it! This is a very rare 1949 Ford F3 with a smooth running Flathead 6 Cylinder Motor and 3 speed manual Transmission. (Real Rods have 3 pedals!!) Truck runs, drives, steers, and stops but could use a little tlc. Has new front brakes. New wiring harness, Air ride suspension in the rear with the bags hidden under the cab and air valves under front seats. Tons of fab work went into this ride (See Pics). Truck comes with a bill of sale and can easily be registered at the DMV. I called and ran the vin# and it was out of the system and was told to just bring it down to verify the vin# (Still on the truck) and they will issue a new title. If that is a deal breaker contact me and I can take it down and get it registered. Truck is almost complete, needs: New Tires, Glass, Seat Cushions, Head Lights, Headlights/ Tail Lights Wired, Gauges (Has temp gauge in glove box) etc... All the hard work is done so whomever can tweak it to their liking. Please check out all the pictures and short video of the motor running and ask any questions you might have. Watch NASCAR racer Brad Keselowski do a burnout... in a hotel conference room
Fri, 08 Mar 2013A vast majority of hotels frown upon smoking inside the building these days, but Brad Keselowski doesn't follow the rules. During his introduction at the 2013 MiilerCoors Distribution Convention, the reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion smoked the tires of his Miller-sponsored Ford Fusion stock car, adding a pair of thick, black stripes to the carpeting of the Marriott World Center's conference room.
This definitely isn't a high-quality video, but it's the perfect vantage point to watch Keselowski lay down some rubber and receive a well-deserved standing ovation after pulling up in front of the crowd. Check out the short-but-sweet video posted below.
2013 Ford F-150 Limited
Mon, 28 Jan 2013The Ford F-150 received yet another new model for the 2013 model year, the Limited trim, bringing the ways you can order this country's most popular vehicle to a grand total of 10. There really is an F-150 to suit any need now, and the Limited variant slots in at the very top of the range, above the already pampering Platinum model.
While normally I would admit that I'm the least-appropriate person to test a pickup, the fact that this particular trim places a much higher premium on luxury than anything with a bed and Blue Oval badge before it means that I don't need the workman chops of a skilled tradesman to judge how well this truck meets its true aim.

Ford making Fusion production moves to challenge Camry on volume
Mon, 26 Aug 2013The Ford Fusion may already beat the Toyota Camry in terms of models offered, transaction price and sales increase so far this year, but if the Fusion wants to make a run at the title of best-selling car in the US, Bloomberg reminds us that volume is key. Opening a second production line at the Flat Rock, MI assembly plant will reportedly allow Ford to produce around 350,000 Fusions annually, which compares Toyota's ability to crank out 475,000 Camrys and Honda's capacity to build around 450,000 Accords.
For the Fusion, that's an extra 100,000 units compared to the car's current pace, and the article adds that the Fusion is "Ford's best shot" to regain the passenger car sales crown - a title it (or any other US automaker, for that matter) hasn't held since the mid-1990s. Despite hiccups with recalls and fuel economy numbers, the Ford Fusion is still red hot when it comes to sales. Fusion sales are up 13 percent so far this year (compared to a 0.6 percent decrease for Camry), and its average transaction price of $26,343 is about $2,300 more than its rival from Toyota.
The Fusion's popularity has helped Ford improve its sales in California; the Dearborn-based automaker has a market share of 18 percent in the state, which is just a fraction of a percentage behind Honda. And this popularity should continue as Ford ups Fusion production and expands the model lineup even further for 2014 with a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine soon to become an option.
