I unfortunately have to sell my Turbo Coupe Thunderbird.
She is a 1987 Turbo Coupe, with the 2.3 liter turbo motor tuned to 15 lbs of boost, with a 5 speed manual trans.
There has been a few slight stage 1 upgrades done; a cone style cold air intake, upgraded front mount intercooler and piping, upgraded turbo and blowoff valve installed.
Just turned 102,000 miles.
Black exterior with two tone grey and black interior
She is my daily driver and has no problem firing right up every morning and getting me to and from work
Recently I have replaced the battery and alternator because of there age.

Passenger window does not go down. needs a clip to attach to the glass and a little glue the regulator motor is fine and works.
Gas gauge needs a new sending unit which is under the gas tank, I just drive it by milage 16+ ALL Time.
You can feel the clutch in 1st gear starting to get weak occasionally, but boosts strong in all gears!

I am open to offers and trades, But I need a reliable daily driver NO JUNK!
I need to drive it every day as I do this one, Would trade for a: Turbo diesel, Jeep, or just shoot me offers I'm pretty open.

Airbag recall widens to include BMW, Chrysler, Ford and Toyota

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

The recall of faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata has exploded today to grow to seven automakers. In most cases, only models in certain high-humidity regions were affected because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found in its investigation that moisture played a roll in determining whether there would be a problem. However, some companies opted for national campaigns. The exact number of affected models for these campaigns isn't yet known at this time.
BMW is recalling an undisclosed number of 325i, 325Xi, 330i and 330Xi models from the 2001 through 2005 model years and the 2001-2006 model year versions of the 325Ci and 330Ci for the driver side and passenger side inflators. Only vehicles currently registered in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands are covered under this recall.
Neither Chrysler's filing with NHTSA nor its press release list the specific models affected, but a company spokesperson told Autoblog that at this time it only covers the driver and passenger side inflators for the 2006 Dodge Charger in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands

Detroit Three autoworkers could get huge bonuses

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

For a long time, being a line worker for one of the Detroit Three has meant living with an uncertain future. With the health of American automakers on the rise, though, things are also starting to look up for the men and women building the cars. The latest sign that things aren't bad? Big profit-sharing checks.
According to The Detroit News, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler could end up paying over $800 million to 130,000 workers as part of a profit-sharing plan. According to The News, the economic impact of these profits in Michigan alone could exceed $400 million, besting the NFL's Super Bowl, MLB's All-Star Game and the NHL's Winter Classic for their economic impact.
This is the third straight year the Detroit Three have issued profit-sharing checks to UAW employees, and for many workers, the checks are as close as they'll get to a raise, due to the most recent contract between the union and the manufacturers. On average, employees at GM and Ford receive $1 for every $1 million in North American (not just the US) pre-tax profits. Chrysler, meanwhile, gets a similar deal, although the Auburn Hills-based company calculates profit sharing using 85 percent of the brand's global profits.

Alan Mulally talks about why Ford's Falcon had to die

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

When Ford made the decision to end production of the Falcon sedan and Territory CUV in Australia, it wasn't a popular move Down Under. The large, four-door Falcon had been in production for 50 years, and while Ford has reaffirmed its commitment to the Australian market, it's understandable that some people still aren't all that crazy about the Blue Oval's decision.
Speaking to CEO Alan Mulally after Ford's Go Further event in Sydney, Australian site Go Auto reports that the decision was not one made lightly, and that the automaker is doing everything possible to respect the Falcon and Territory's "stakeholders." It's an interesting piece that shows a softer side of a corporation, while demonstrating that Ford is doing everything in its power to make the end of production as smooth as possible for all parties.
Head over to Go Auto for the full series of remarks from Mulally, and then let us know what you think of Ford's handling of the Falcon and Territory discontinuations, in Comments.
