you are looking at a 2000 GMC 3500 savanna 1 ton van with 4x4. if you are looking for a 4x4 van with a gas engine you have found it. it has the 7.4 454 motor which is a stump puller. tons of power and torque tows awesome and still gets 14 to 16 mpg highway. I've pulled our 22 foot tandem axle trailer with 8 full size quads as fast as I wanted to. I am the second owner. van has been meticulously maintained since new and we have the receipts prove it. four wheel drive conversion was done by advanced four wheel drive systems of SLC Utah when the van was new. cost was $10,000 !!! for the conversion alone. the 4x4 works great. the van currently has 99,835 original miles. we drive it once in a while so miles will increase some. when van was brand new the owner had new carpet put on top of the already new carpet to protect it. it is still clean and looks new. that's right folks the original carpet has still never the light of day!!!  but it doesn't stop there. all the seats were removed when new and a custom full size bed frame was installed and comes with the van, but I don't have the mattress as the original owner kept it because it was a memory foam. I recently put three of the four bench seats back in the van they are new seats no stains rips or blemishes of any kind and the fourth row has never been used. out side condition is like new as well no dents dings and paint looks great. all glass is in perfect condition as well. also has a nice dash mat that has been on since new. tires are cooper discoverer at3 and only have 8k miles on them. I'm probably forgetting some stuff but that's about it. it would be hard to find a van this year and in this condition so don't let this one slip away!! this is a no reserve auction after the starting bid is met. NO BUY IT NOW and I will not end the auction early. bid with confidence I am an honest seller check my feedback. delivery of vehicle may be an option depending on where it goes and if an agreement is made otherwise van is sold as is where is.  thanks for looking and reading my long ad.  any questions call Kent  (970) 739-6664

Pickup sales may hit 2M units for first time since 2007

Sat, 21 Sep 2013

Even as fuel prices creep back up, trucks are still a hot item among new-vehicle shoppers. To see how popular pickup trucks still are, you don't have to look any further than how much effort automakers put into the continual one-upmanship of their trucks. Backing this fact up, USA Today is reporting that the segment could top two million sales this year - a total not matched since 2007, though still far from the pre-recession, three-million-unit levels.
Through August, the Ford F-Series continues to be the segment leader with almost 500,000 units sold, but the Chevy Silverado (328,269), Ram 1500 (234,642), GMC Sierra (122,232) and Toyota Tacoma (110,293) are all seeing at least 20-percent sales increases, helping to account for around 1.44 million truck sales so far this year - not including possible outliers like the Suzuki Equator and Chevy Avalanche.
This year alone, General Motors has completely redesigned its fullsize trucks, Ram and Toyota have significantly updated their offerings, the next-gen Ford F-150 will be out next year and Nissan is promising an all-new Titan around the same time with an eventual Cummins diesel under the hood. It would seem, then, that truck sales are poised to continue their upward trend.

2015 Sierra All Terrain HD looks ready to hit heavy-duty trails

Thu, 22 May 2014

GMC is getting its heavy-duty trucks ready for the mud this summer with its All Terrain package for the Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD. Meant to blend style, tech and ruggedness, the pack includes a lot of extra chrome outside and an off-road package underneath.
The 2015 Sierra All Terrain HD trucks naturally come standard with four-wheel drive with an electronically controlled transfer case to handle things in the dirt. The Z71 off-road package is also standard, which includes Rancho twin-tube shocks, hill descent control and a skid plate. To add some style when off the beaten path, the pack includes chrome trim on the mirror caps, lower bumper and grille surround, plus LEDs around the headlights and 18-inch wheels (20-inchers are optional on the 2500HD). The 3500HD also gets chrome, adjustable outside camper mirrors. The interior receives a technology upgrade thanks to the standard rearview camera and IntelliLink infotainment that can act as a Wi-Fi hotspot through OnStar 4G LTE, read text messages and includes Siri Eyes Free for iPhone users.
The All Terrain package goes on sale on both trucks this summer and is offered on either the SLE or SLT trim levels in double cab and crew cab models. The standard engine is the 6.0-liter V8 with 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, but the Duramax 6.6-liter, diesel V8 with 397 hp and 765 lb-ft is also available. The gas engine is mated to a Hydra-matic six-speed automatic, and the diesel uses an Allison six-speed automatic. Scroll down to read the full announcement about these heavy-duty off-roaders.

2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra first pickups to ace updated NHTSA tests [w/video]

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

General Motors has just become the first pickup truck manufacturer to receive five-star overall vehicle scores in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's New Car Assessment Program. The updated safety standards, which went into effect in 2011, are more strenuous than the previous NHTSA curriculum and involve collecting both more and more substantial data, reflecting the improved safety inherent in newer vehicles. This feat is made more impressive by the fact that both Ford and Ram have released brand-new trucks since the new testing went into effect - GM's victory is no technicality.
The rating only applies to the redesigned, light-duty Silverado, Sierra and their upmarket variants, High Country and Denali, respectively, while only Crew Cab variants were tested. Considering that the four-door body style will make up 60 percent of GM's light-duty truck sales, the exclusion of the other variants seems reasonable.
This news is sure to be yet another feather in GM's pickup-oriented cap. Be sure to scroll down for video of the crash testing, as well as the full press release from General Motors.
