Hello and welcome.  The garage is full and this car has to be sold.  What a great automobile. Honda proves that you can be environmental and sporty at the same time!  I am the second owner of this car that I have recently purchased. The first owner also lived here in NC.  I have only driven the car roughly 3k miles.  The first owner had an extensive commute back and forth to work. Thus, most of the mileage was highway driving and there has not been a lot of wear and tear on the clutch or gears.  Interior and exterior is in good condition and this car has been in no accidents.  There are some minor scratches here and there from normal wear and tear (see pictures). Nothing major that would detract from the vehicle's appearance.  There are two small wear marks on the drivers seat (see pictures).  A cigarette burn hole on the passenger seat (see pictures).  I'm not sure if the previous owner was a smoker but I am not and there is no odor to the vehicle at all.  Engine runs great and scheduled oil change was just completed.  All lights and gauges work properly.  Original owner's manual and sales sticker is included.  This car sold for $21,510. in 2011.  I am starting this auction with a very low opening bid and no reserve!  Tread on the tires is good. Good luck to all and thank you for looking. Buyer is responsible for picking up or transporting this vehicle from here in Tryon NC.  Actual mileage is 100,646 but this will change slightly since I will be driving it here and there. This would be a great car for a college student. Feel free to ask any questions.

I discovered that the "Minor Issue" on the Autocheck report was a rock that had chipped the windshield. That was repaired before I purchased the vehicle. Thanks.

Honda spinning off Acura as stand-alone division in bid to wake up brand

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

Every major automaker has a different way of relating between its various divisions and brands. At Volkswagen, for example, the individual brands seem to operate with a large degree of autonomy. Under the Renault-Nissan Alliance, the two units share a common chief executive, but little else. The relationship between Honda and its luxury division Acura has always been rather close, but that's all about to change.
American Honda Motor Company has always handled sales and marketing in the North American market for both the Honda and Acura divisions, but new reorganization plans call for the two units to be separated under their own direction. Leading the Acura division will be Michael Accavitti, who moves into the position from his role as Senior Vice President for Auto Operations at American Honda. The Honda division will meanwhile be taken over by the current head of Acura sales, Jeff Conrad.
Both will report to John Mendel, the current executive vice president of the Automobile Sales Division that is being rebranded as the American Honda Auto Division. Unlike rivals Lexus and Infiniti - two brands that Acura beat to the market - Honda barely markets its luxury brand outside of North America. Its overseas presence is felt only in China, though we've yet to receive word on how the reorganization might effect that market - or for that matter, any potential of expanding into others.

Acura NSX to be built in Ohio in 2015

Tue, 14 May 2013

Honda today confirmed that the forthcoming Acura NSX hybrid supercar will be built at a brand-new facility in Ohio. This will be the company's third plant in Ohio, and will come as the result of a $70 million investment. Honda first hinted that NSX production would be coming to Ohio when the original concept car was revealed at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
Honda's new facility, called the Performance Manufacturing Center, will encompass a 184,000-square foot space inside of the automaker's former North American Logistics building and will employ 100 associates. As you might expect, the Performance Manufacturing Center is located just a few miles from Honda's American-based R&D facility, as well as the Marysville auto plant, where production of the 2014 Accord Hybrid will kick off this fall.
"The location of this facility is in the midst of one of the greatest collections of engineering and production talent in the world. So it makes sense that we will renew the dream and build this high-tech, supercar in Marysville, Ohio," said Hidenobu Iwata, president and CEO of Honda of America, in a press release.

Cafe racer motorbikes storm Japan

Fri, 22 Nov 2013

Japan may be best known, at least among motorcycle enthusiasts, for its sport bikes. But as we found at the Tokyo Motor Show this year, Japanese motorcycle manufacturers are capable of producing all kinds of motorbikes. And to our delight, that includes cafe racers.
Along with the myriad electric bikes, dirt bikes, crotch rockets and scooters, the halls of Tokyo's Big Site convention center this year were full of the retro-infused rides we love. Chief among them was the Bolt (shown above) which Yamaha exhibited alongside their various electric two-wheelers, sporting a delicious metallic blue paintjob, inverted handlebars and hanging mirrors, machined metal bits, blacked-out trim and saddle brown leatherwork.
Honda was also on hand with a new EX version of its '70s-style CB1100 retro roadster in sinister and low-key matte black. And this was our first chance to check out BMW Motorrad's new birthday present to its 90-year-old self, the R NineT, a model recently unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. But one of the most amusing retro rides we came across was the Honda Monkey Limited, a mini bike that makes the new 125cc Grom (which was displayed alongside it) look positively gigantic.
