Lamborghini Diablo Roadster on 2040-cars
Grant, Florida, United States
Time has come to sell my beloved Diablo, This car sleeps in a garage with the rest of my car collection, I drive it probably 10 times a year for special occasions. 600 watt stereo dual tvs, backup cam. Multi tip exhaust "Sounds so BAD ASS. This car is turnkey and runs and drives perfectly, Car was finished in 2001 and is Titled as a Lamborghini Sp, which I love because of reasons that make this car more desirable then a car titled as a fiero. This car has a custom stretched frame and drives and handles like a dream. The car has a few blemishes due to its age. The gas door has a bubble under the paint, and There are no side windows due to the prior owner of the car was a Dodge Viper man and was only going to drive it on good days. Also the engine compartment was designed to handle a Viper motor so there is ample room for a engine upgrade but in my opinion you would be wasting your money cause the car is more then fast enough and takes off just like a c4 corvette. Now for the one thing that is really bad about this car is the invasion of privacy that it brings, you can not pump gas without being approached and asked if a picture can be taken or if I am someone famous, I assure you this gets old very quickly, and If you are married don't drive this car alone cause women go nuts for it and always ask for a ride. I have had people follow me a few miles then beg for me to pull over for a picture, and lets not forget the people who pull out there camera phones at every single red light and then the people who drive slowely or quickly along side you just to get a video. I assure you people unless you live in a secluded part of the country you will not like the attention that this car brings. Other then that one thing I do enjoy is when they have these car shows at these burger joints I enjoy pulling up to the drive thru then enjoy watching the show get shut down as we pull out cause people are in amazement. That is wicked kool also the police never bother you cause they are just as quick to give you the thumbs up and enjoy the beauty of the car as it is rolling down the road. And at the end of the day it is a beautiful work of art. Unless you have a diablo owner near you or you open the hood people will never know or care cause the sound look and performance are all there without the crazy maintenance costs. I do not have to sell the car, but I currently have 51 cars in my collection and am getting into flying so will be buying a plane. I will consider trades as well but trust me I have had it or have it now, But you never know. Any serious buyers are welcome to message me with there phone numbers and I will return they call. Also I will sell to overseas and car will not leave with out full payment cleared or cash handed to me. Please don't bid on this car if you have to ask permission to buy it or need to get a loan. This is a big boy toy for a select group who enjoy working hard and playing harder. If you bid on the car and you have a low score I will cancel your bid even if you are legit due to scams. And Cause this care is titled as a Lamborghini that means that Canadians can buy the car as well. Rolling down the street with some Rush blasting on the stereo and a nice winding road and your good to go. GOOD LUCK BIDDERS aka SERIOUS BUYERS. remember trades welcomed "prevost plane spaceship etc etc"

Rare early Lamborghini Countach sells for record $1.2 million
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Lamborghini may have made headlines with the highly exclusive, $4.5-million Veneno and the even more expensive Veneno Roadster that followed, but when it comes to classics sold at auction, their prices seldom approach the kind of figures attained by rare classics made by arch-rival Ferrari. Early 350 GTs and rare Miuras (like the SV prototype Gooding sold a few years ago for a record $1.7 million) have been known to breach the seven-figure mark, but now the Countach is making its way into the big leagues as well.
Pictured here is a rather exceptional early example sold by Bonhams in Connecticut last week. This 1975 Lamborghini Countach LP400 "Periscopica" - so dubbed for the unique rearview mirror fitted to the first 150 examples made - has just over 10,000 miles on the odometer. With flawlessly retouched Blu Tahiti (read: French racing blue) paint and an immaculate deep tan leather interior, the Periscopica was the subject of feverish bidding before selling for $1.2 million to a buyer present at the auction, beating out a dozen or so telephone bidders.
The record price for a Countach trumps the previous record, also set by Bonhams at the Quail Lodge last August, where another '75 Periscopica sold for $836,000. The rising prices surely reflect the coming of age for the Countach, now nearly 40 years since its introduction - particularly for the generation that grew up idolizing it as the prototypical supercar. Scope it out in the artful gallery of 76 high-resolution images above and the details of the auction below.
Words aren't needed in the company of an Espada
Tue, 20 Nov 2012There's something about vintage Italian machinery. From the curvaceous lines of the Ferrari 250 GTO to the more exacting angles of the Lamborghini Espada, the cars hold the promise of something illicit. Something both scowling parents and stern-jawed law enforcement would thoroughly disapprove of if you happened to get caught in the act. It's one of the infinite reasons we love them, and the crew at Petrolicious have managed to capture that precipice of temptation on film.
CJ Bonura was kind enough to let the crew tag along during a little impromptu canyon run in his big silver Espada. The video eschews the typical owner interview in favor of more engine audio and an appropriate soundtrack. If the clip doesn't leave you wanting to jump into your own car for a quick sprint, we can't help you. Check it out in the video below, and stay tuned for more goodness from Petrolicious.
Watch the Lamborghini Egoista fire up on stage
Mon, 13 May 2013Seeing the wild Lamborghini Egoista is one thing, but hearing the single-seat concept car fire to life in all its glory is something entirely different. Visitors at the Lamborghini 50th anniversary celebration in Sant' Agata got that rare opportunity when the Egoista made its presence felt. Nothing says, "I have arrived" quite like a 5.2-liter V10 barking at the crowd. It may not be the prettiest belle at the ball, but it has the pipes to make even the most jaded among us weak in the knees.
You can catch the clip of the machine firing up in the brief (and sadly shaky) video below. We've also included a more polished video recap from the anniversary celebration. Something tells us you don't need a reason to spend a few minutes watching classic Lamborghini models prancing through Italy. You're welcome.
