Year:1980 Mileage:0
Location:

Relisting because Ebay had a policy issue:

This is a Cory Davis 1999 Lamborghini Diablo Roadster kit car on a custom made steel chassis
I am not a professional kit builder I am just a mechanic that was building this kit as a hobby
I have lost interest and no longer want to finish the car
This has a small block chevy 350 with 4 side mounted carbs with a corvair 4 speed transaxle.
With twin rear mounter radiators like the real car It has power steering and manual brakes
No air condition but I do have a air condition controller made by "rice burner" for a vintage air setup I was going to install later.
I have original diablo seats, emblems and real 17" OZ wheels.
The car starts and drives but needs carbs to be adjusted and a tune up
Car had set for about 3 years
The front brakes are wildwood with tubular upper and lower powder coated control arms
All lights and electrical system work including turn signals and fog lights
Both doors and front and rear bonnets are attached with working hinges and locks
Doors do not have outer skins and needs to be finished but do have power window motors mounted and wired to original center console switch also has plexiglass windows
Windshield needs to be replace has crack in it
Removable roof has front and rear working latches.
This car was built to fit up to a 6'2 person
original Lambo seats are on adjustable seat tracks that adjust
Aluminum Gas tank is mounted in rear and plumbed to working flip cap
This car has all the major work done but
Please understand this was a work in progress
It still needs a lot of work to finish and I built it close to original but I was taking creative liberties so it would be more drivable and easy to work on
I have been working on this over 8 years off and on
Always garage kept
Will not ship
I would like new buyer to be here so I can go over how I put it all together and what I feel needs to be done from here

Ask any questions you have
Kit does not have any title or registration
Because it was built from scratch

This incredible life-size Lamborghini Aventador is made out of paper

Sun, 08 Sep 2013

We've all screwed around with the cutting and folding fun that results from paper model making over here at the Autoblog Craft Workshop (not a real thing), but we've yet to dive into a project with real scale. Thankfully, dedicated hobbyists the world over are taking care of the heavy lifting for us on this front.
Years back we brought you images of an Epson team mid-build with a full-scale Honda NSX racecar, and that project might still be the granddaddy of the genre (though this Audi A7 and this Bugatti Veyron are pretty good, too). But the Lamborghini Aventador police interceptor model seen here, measuring eight-feet long, is right up there. Gaming fans will recognize the Need For Speed inspiration for the wood pulp Lambo, and after watching the fast-motion video of the entire build process we should all be able to recognize the hard work that went into the car's completion.
Taras Lesko is the designer behind this mammoth paper project; you can read a bit of detail about what went into the build on his website, or you can scroll down to watch it for yourself.

Range-topping 800-hp Lamborghini Aventador SV hits the 'Ring

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

A couple of years ago, rumors were circulating about a possible high(er)-performance version of the Lamborghini Aventador, and our spy photographers have just captured what appears to be a prototype of this new supercar testing at the Nürburgring. Supposedly called the Aventador SV (for Super Veloce), this even-more-hardcore version of Lamborghini's range-topper could boast as much as 800 horsepower. Yowza.
As for the car you see here, our spies point out new center-lock wheels wrapped in ultra-thin high-performance tires that hide revised brake calipers mounted in a different position than on the normal Aventador. Up front, there's a new aerodynamic piece that makes for an even lower air splitter, and around back, an extra piece of trim (often referred to as a Gurney flap) has been added to the spoiler to provide enhanced downforce.
We don't imagine there's much in the way of weight to shed from the Aventador's carbon fiber monocoque chassis, so this SV version will likely focus more on better suspension tuning, improved aero and a 80-100 more horsepower to set it apart from the rest of the range. Expect more details to arrive around the time of the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall.

Lamborghini Pregunta Paris concept offered at $2.1M [w/video]

Sun, 14 Apr 2013

When the Lamborghini Veneno was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show, there were those who connected dots from it to the Lamborghini Pregunta concept from 1998, and also to the Pagani Zonda that arrived one year later. Near the end of the turmoil that was Lamborghini's ownership through the mid-nineties, an order was placed with the French Carrosserie Heuliez for a one-off concept car that was "new, original and impossible to confuse with any other car's shapes," that would be built on a Diablo chassis. The result was the Pregunta.
It was an aerospace-influenced supercar with carbon fiber bodywork, a 530-horsepower V12 and a claimed 207-mile-per-hour top speed. It employed rear-wheel drive instead of the Diablo's all-wheel drive, was coated in the same paint used on the French military's Dassault Rafale fighter jet and had fiber optic lighting, rear-view cameras and a GPS system. It was shown to the world at the 1998 Paris Motor Show, and again at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show.
Thought to be the last concept built on a Lamborghini body before Audi bought the company in 1998, AutoDrome, a French specialist in vintage exotics, has the Pregunta for sale for 1.6 million euros ($2.1M US). You can watch it hit the runway with a Rafale in the video below, then give AutoDrome a call if you're interested.
