See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"This car is close to perfect as any 58,650 miles Mark III can be. I am the third owner of car kept in one family and conditioned storage for over 20 years. Nevertheless there are a few things I did not get to-- The drivers window has wind noise, needs adjustment, window fully functional - The turn signal level is cracked/taped but fully functional - The leather button in the middle of the drivers seat is missing the leather - One trim around rear wheel opening has small dent - Clock does not work - That's it!"

Do not buy one of these low mileage cars out of storage or one which has not been driven consistency within the last year. Too many things can and usually does go wrong with a car just out of storage or not driven. You will see other Mark III's which fit this description---stay away from them.

I have personally owned this vehicle for a year. I am selling it now because I have found a pickup I love and want to sell this car while the warranty on the A/C is still good so the buyer has nothing to worry about. A/C is a major item that can go wrong on these vehicles so don't buy one unless you know for certain that it has been replaced or at least fully maintained recently. Again, I have also driven this car at least twice a day for the last year so everything that can go wrong has hopefully done so and has already been fixed.

First and foremost this car has no rust and been painted and wet sanded within the last year so it shines like it was new.

In addition all the following parts have been replaced with either new or rebuilt parts:

     -  water pump, thermostat and all assoc radiator hoses

     - both alternator and voltage regulator

     -  A/C work included compressor, accumulator, expansion valve and compressor clutch (that's everything)

     - timing chain and timing cover

     - upper engine and both valve covers gaskets (it does not leak)

      - entire distributor assembly including rotor and cap plus ignition coil

      - receipts and tel#'s furnished to successful bidders

This is not a "show" car. It could be but 'as is' will serve as a wonderful driver which should be very reliable as well as great looking.  You can checkout my rating to see how others view my honesty and ease of transaction.

The car comes with no warranty but my word. I will help with facilitating transportation but the cost of it is the buyers responsibility.

Lincoln MKX Concept announces impending launch in China

Sun, 20 Apr 2014

Lincoln has finally dropped the details on the MKX Concept after a few days of teasing. Set for a very important global debut at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, we're going to have to see this conceptualized version of the third-generation MKX in person before we can draw any real conclusions on the effectiveness of its design.
One of the things Lincoln will need to do to succeed is deliver something to customers that's unique to the brand's vehicles, which are exclusively rebadged models from parent company Ford. We're not sure this is going to be distinctive enough.
Unlike its last new vehicle, the Navigator, the work done on the MKX is smooth and refined. The stance of the vehicle, with its 21-inch wheels, is aggressive enough. Viewed from the profile, the overhangs appear rather short, while character lines keep it from looking slabsided. In front, we might be witnessing the cleanest interpretation yet of Lincoln's twin grilles. The headlights are slim and stylish, and we're digging the shape and style of the mirrors, which feature integrated turn signals that outline the mirror cap.

Why the 2015 Lincoln MKC is 'holding some powder'

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Earlier this month in our first drive of the 2015 MKC, we told you that Lincoln finally had a new vehicle in its arsenal worth crowing about. So with the compact premium crossover now finding its way into dealers, why aren't you seeing its likeness plastered on billboards and barraging you on television? It's because Lincoln is "holding some powder."
Those are the words of Lincoln's global director, Matt VanDyke, who tells Autoblog that the company is holstering some of its marketing guns because it's keen to avoid repeating the ill-timed efforts that blighted its last rollout, the MKZ. That vehicle's launch early last year was beset by various delays related to manufacturing and quality. The cadence issue was so dire that by the time the model reached showrooms in volume, Lincoln had already blown most of its budget on things like Super Bowl ads that ran weeks or even months before customers could check one out in person. It was a particularly trying series of events for parent Ford because the MKZ and its oversized marketing spend were charged with relaunching the Lincoln brand to the public.
Keen to avoid repeating the same timing issue and mindful of consumers' habits at this time of year, Lincoln is taking a different strategy with the MKC. According to VanDyke, "What we don't want to do is try and fight the summertime - people using television being down, and other mass media when school's out. New television shows aren't on." Of course, that doesn't mean Lincoln is sitting idle. VanDyke says, "By no means are we quiet during the next 90 days. This year, we're going to really spend the next 60 to 90 days using digital and social media, in-theater advertising and the like, and once we have full availability at dealerships, we'll really ramp up the advertising later on in the summer." Part of that early media effort includes immersive digital marketing like Lincoln's clever Dream Rides web experience.

Lincoln needs a farewell address, not a new marketing plan

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

The trouble with Ford's Lincoln brand is that no one cares about it any more.
Not long after I heard that Mark LaNeve, chief operating officer of Ford agency Team Detroit, was moving to take over direct operations of the New York ad agency Hudson Rouge for Lincoln, I heard that JCPenney CEO Ron Johnson was ousted. The two events are connected.
