2005 Blue Maserati 4200 Cambiocorsa coupe V8 4.2 (26 200 miles).

Garage kept, driven about 200 miles per month for the last 2 years (on the week-ends).

VIN# ZAMBC38A350018025

Before buying this car in summer 2012, I a saw and tested a lot of Maserati in the lower 40k$ price range … I settled on this one because it looked  AND RUN NEW ! And today it still looks AND RUN NEW !! Never put thru an automatic car wash and always hand washed / waxed.

I am an aerospace engineer, I took care of this car as if it was an airplane I would fly with ! Today, I rate the exterior and interior a solid 9.5+ / 10.

The moldings, handles, window glass, emblems, rubber seals and all other exterior features are in superb condition. The wheels have no abuse and the tires are NEW: Michelin Sport ZR18 (235/40 Front and 265/40 Rear).

Everything is original (OEM): no modification were made to the car.

On the inside, the Tan leather interior still looks new. As you can see in the pics, the seats are well preserved and the flooring is damage free. The door panels, dash, center console, faceplates, etc. are not marked up. All of the interior buttons / switches, power windows, door locks, cruise, suspension control (sport mode) and 6 way power seats work perfectly. The stereo system plays perfect (including the 5 CD changer Blaupunkt in the trunk). The undercarriage is spotless, and rust free.

Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as a fine tuned should (automatic or paddle shift). All of the servicing is up to date. The brakes have plenty of pad left, and all of the other mechanical functions perform without issue.

2 set of keys are included.

So what are the negatives ? Only two I can think of:
1) I  do not have the original maintenance manual (I have a PDF version of it which I will gladly email you so you can get familiar with the car)
2) There is no GPS/bluetooth

I will do my best to answer your questions timely, if there is a delay it is only because I travel extensively. The easiest if you are really interested is to talk on the phone. I will provide you the number once we have established contact thru email.

If you want to take the car on the road, we will have options to meet up but I will be the one driving for insurance purposes.

Finally, why am I selling this gorgeous ‘fun to drive car’ ?  For personal reasons, I need the cash.

Happy Bidding !!!

Autocar compares new Maserati Quattroporte to Jaguar XJ

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe took the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte on a spin along snowy mountain roads to test it for a specific brief: as a limousine for the chauffeured class. It's sporting credentials are impressive: Twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, 532 horsepower, 475 pound-feet of torque in casual circumstances that rises to 532 lb-ft in overboost, a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour sprint of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph.
However, citing Maserati's desire to not just increase its sales to 50,000-per-annum by 2015, but to sell many more of its cars in China, Sutcliffe wanted to find out if the livery side of the Quattroporte could match its sport sedan side. So after taking the pilot's seat and trying out the sport settings, Sutcliffe hops in back to test out the CEO's seat.
Then he compares the Quattroporte against the long-wheelbase Jaguar XJ with its supercharged V8, a sedan that's 15,000 pounds less expensive than the Maserati. It doesn't take long for him to find that one of them is a clear winner when it comes to transporting VIPs. To find out which one, enjoy the video below.

Maserati orders explode, 22,500 through September

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

Last year when Maserati revealed a plan to sell 50,000 units globally by 2015, it seemed like a pretty steep goal for an automaker that had sold just 6,300 units for the entire year. It turns out that goal may be a little on the conservative side. Through September, Automotive News Europe says the Italian automaker has already racked up 22,500 orders mainly on the backs of the redesigned Quattroporte and the all-new Ghibli, and there are still more new products in the pipeline.
Back in August, we heard that demand in China was playing a strong role in Maserati's big numbers in 2013, and this doesn't even include the upcoming Levante SUV, which Maserati CEO Harald Wester expects to add as many as 25,000 units to the mix when it goes on sale in 2015. According to the ANE report, the Quattroporte is still the most popular model with almost 10,000 orders so far this year, while the smaller and more affordable Ghibli is performing quite well with almost 8,000 orders; the aging, but soon-to-be-replaced, GranTurismo models have about 5,000 orders.

Maserati Alfieri Concept draws from the brand's past, looks to its future

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

We may be just as (if not more) used to the idea of Maserati making four-door passenger cars as we are of Porsche or Aston Martin doing the same, but the Trident marque is no less routed in producing sports cars than its German and British rivals. The trouble is that, now seven years on the market, the GranTurismo is Maserati's only two-door model, and it's growing a little long in the tooth to serve as the brand's halo car. Especially when it starts looking back at its history on the occasion of its 100th anniversary. So to mark the milestone, and reconnect with its more sporting past, Maserati has rolled in to Geneva with the concept car you see here.
It's called the Alfieri, and we've been anticipating its unveiling since (if not long before) rumors surfaced last week of its impending arrival, followed by confirmation from the manufacturer and the leaked images we brought you mere hours ago. But now it's been unveiled in the metal.
The Alfieri's wheelbase is 9.5 shorter than the GranTurismo, but packs the same 4.7-liter naturally-aspirated V8.
