1966 PLYMOUTH SATELLITE RO23 SUPER STOCK CLONE

Let me start off by saying this is a STREET/STRIP CAR a very serious STREET CAR. It has been lettered up to look like a RO23 Super Stock Plymouth of the 1960's. This car is not for the timid or faint of heart. It sounds like a pro stock car going down the street! It draws a crowd wherever it goes, if you don't like attention this car is not for you. It takes a real man to own a car like this because cars like this are not built very much any more. Today its all about stuffing giant wheels, a late model engine thats really dependable with air conditioning, heated cup holders and really comfy seats, dropping it down to the ground so your 60's muscle car that you just put $150,000 into can handle like a late model muscle car that you can buy for $30,000.

This car is built in a way that real men used to build their cars FAST N LOUD!

"The Instigator" is powered by a 451 BB Mopar STROKER

Here are some of the engines details.

Aries pistons with 10.5 compression

Ultradyne solid lifter cam

Indy reverse flow water pump set-up with Meziere water pump

Griffin Racing radiator (car runs real cool)

Stage 6 mopar aluminum heads with Isky Springs

Harland Sharp roller rockers

Milodon race oil pump, pan & pick-up

Edelbrock Intake with 950 race carb

all MSD ignition distributor, box & coil

Hooker super competition Race Headers With 3" Flowmaster exhaust

The transmission is full manual valve body with a 3500 stall speed converter, it has a TCI shifter with a hurst line lock.

8 3/4 rear with a 3:23 ratio (for drivability) 30 spline moser axles, adjustable shocks and cal trac bars

This car runs like an animal it is beyond fast, just a stab on the gas makes the front jump and the car takes off like a rocket.

It has 90/10 shocks up front to aid in weight transfer along with full subframe connectors and a 6 point cage with removable side bar swingouts. The front brakes have been upgraded to Wilwood discs so it stops good when your on it.

Round back it has a  trunk mounted fuel cell along with a brand new Optima battery

The body is nice overall but it does have some areas that are starting to bubble behind both rear wheels it is an older paint job. The floors and framerails look good and solid including the trunk floor. It has a fiberglass hood with and RO23 super stock hood scoop

The interior is all original buckets and console the rug is sun faded and the headliner has one seam that has been fixed it can use both to be replaced, the seats and door panels are real nice. It has a 5 point set-up for the driver along with a roll bar mounted headrest for safety. All the glass is nice.

This is an unbelivabe deal for the money there have been thousands of dollars invested in this car.

You can have the ultimate cruise night toy or go nostalgia drag racing with it.

I am selling because I need the space not the money. car has a clear NC title IN MY NAME

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
