I have a 67 Fury that has been sitting a few years and needs some work. It is registered with California black plates and drives but does need brake work from sitting so long. The 383 big block runs real strong even though I have not giving it a tune up. It has an Edlebrock intake and carb, Mopar electronic distributor, Flowmaster mufflers. Motor sounds great and moves this beast well, tranny shifts really firm, I believe it has a shift kit in it. the old battery is not holding a charge so I'll buy a new one this week. The gas gauge does NOT work but the factory radio does. The headliner is missing and the front seat needs redone, and the stopper on the seat back is missing on the drivers side. I think the power steering pump is going out, it has a dead spot sometimes when turning.
It comes with 4 cop car rims, but they have old tires on them, only 3 on the car. There is some rust on pass side lower quarter panel and the drivers side quarter has the wrinkle you can see in the pic. Some one installed an electric trunk release in the dash that works good. There is a hole where a CB antenna use to be between the trunk and back window.
This is a really solid car that can be driven while its worked on. Motor is awesome, I even considered pulling it for another car, but that would be a shame because this car is in really good shape. I believe one wheel well trim is missing.
I did wash the car after these pics were taken, it looks better but needs a paint job. I would like to fix this easy project car up and drive it, but I have way too many cars and this has just been sitting and I'll probably never get around to it, so its better to let it go to someone that will enjoy and care for it.

I took pictures of all problems and described everything I know of that this thing needs so there will be no surprises. Car is for sale locally and you are welcome to come by for a test drive

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
