1963 Pontiac Catalina 2-Door Sedan. Parts or very ambitious restoration project. NO TITLE-sold on bill of sale only. There is no flood title-ebay requires sellers to specify a title type and I selected this option to complete the listing. There is NO TITLE. No keys, no engine or radiator. Original automatic transmission is still with car, along with factory VIN tag attached to driver cowl. Car has automatic transmission, power brakes, power steering (pump gone) and rare power seat. Auction includes 2 front 8-lug brake drums and 3 8-lug rims. No trim rings or center caps. Tires do not hold air so bring extra 14" tires or winch to the flatbed. The car has the usual rust-body will require trunk floor and left and right quarter panels. The floors are surprisingly intact. Both doors close nicely with no sign of sag or misalignment. I was not able to get inside the trunk. Auction is for the complete car-I will not part it out. Frame is rotted beyond repair in side rails and driver front torque box by cowl. I will help load the car. Payment via PayPal due within 48 hours of conclusion of auction or item will be relisted and nonpaying bidder reported to ebay. Please get your questions in early -I will respond as soon as possible. Thanks for looking.

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
