I have decided to let my Fiero go. Runs and drives great!! This car was purchased new in '86 by my step-father. He put it in storage in '92 where it sat until '05. I then purchased the car from him and proceeded to go through it and update and upgrade things. The interior is in above average condition but does show signs of wear. All of the stereo speakers were upgraded to Kenwood speakers. I currently have a CD player installed in the car but it does come with the factory stereo as well. It is a 5-speed car with a newer performance clutch and a billet flywheel. The suspension has been upgraded as well with KYB GR2 shocks and struts. Brakes have been upgraded as well. The car has 83,xxx miles on it and the motor has approximately 4,000 miles on it. Mileage may increase as I still drive it once in a while.
Engine is a internally balanced '88 Fiero GT crate motor that had been bored over .030.
Has a mild camshaft, oversized injectors, and a performance coil. Needs a cold air intake to compliment these upgrades, but I never got to it. Also has a performance chip. I still have the factory chip as well. I would rate both the interior and body a 7 out of 10. It could use a little TLC. Keep in mind this is a 27 year old car. It's nice, but not perfect. The wheels on it in the pictures are gone, but the factory rims have brand new correct size tires on them and there is a picture of them as well. The car has always been stored inside (until recently ) and has never been driven in the winter months. Hate to see it go, but I bought a new toy and I don't have the room to keep them all.
Things I know need attention:
A/C needs o-ring at the compressor replaced and recharged.
Axle seals need replaced (they seep slightly while sitting)
Power lock button on passenger side came out of it's bracket.
Paint could use some TLC
Trunk lid doesn't stay up on its own anymore.
Catalytic converter has been removed, but the correct pipe was used in it's place.
*Auto check shows an accident in the history*
I was rear-ended lightly at a stop light several years ago. Damage was limited to a slight bend in the rear bumper. I purchased a OEM GM bumper, but the damage was so slight I never bothered to put it on.
It will be included with the car as well as some other misc. parts I purchased for the car.

2008-2009 Pontiac G8 recalled over airbag concern
Mon, 07 Nov 2011General Motors is recalling around 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedans from its 2008 and 2009 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the cars may have a passenger-side airbag flaw that might prevent proper deployment in certain scenarios.
According to NHTSA, the airbag might not adequately protect a fifth percentile woman - that is, a woman around four-foot, 11-inches weighing 108 pounds. The New York Times indicates that the anomaly was found during a crash test conducted by GM's Australian branch, Holden, which was testing the G8's twin (read: Commodore) for head injuries. According to that report, the test in question is specifically tailored to simulate injuries to females, so the results do not apply to men or children.
The issue has been blamed on a seat position sensor that governs airbag deployment rates. NHTSA indicates that when the front passenger seat is moved all the way forward, the faulty sensor may inappropriately trigger a 30-millisecond delay between airbag stages, potentially leading to greater injuries.
GM recalls 61k more vehicles in three campaigns
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Following a stop-delivery order for its new midsize trucks and a rash of recent recalls, General Motors is issuing three more campaigns covering 60,575 vehicles in North America with 57,182 of them in the US. As of October 1, the automaker has issued a total of 74 recalls (see the ridiculously long chart to the right) this year covering 26,495,070 units in the US.
The largest campaign covers 46,873 examples in the US of the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 and 2011-2013 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle imported from Australia. It's possible for the driver's knee to hit the key and make it move from the "Run" to "ACC" position while driving. GM says its Holden division is developing a fixed-blade key that's supposed to fix the problem by only allowing it to rotate toward the "On" position. There has been one crash caused by this fault but no injuries or fatalities.
The second recall is for 10,005 units of the 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V because "the fuel pump module electrical terminal may overheat." This can cause a flange to melt and allow the pump to leak fuel. GM specifies that the remedy for the CTS-V is replacing the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, but it doesn't specify how the STS-V is being repaired.
This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels
Sat, 14 Dec 2013We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.
