Up for bid is this one owner GTO with low mileage and a clear title. I bought this car brand new and had a Magnuson 112H supercharger kit professionally installed at 9k miles. Additionally a Spec 2+ clutch and billet fly wheel were also professionally installed. The car also has JBA ceramic coated shorty headers, Aeroforce interceptor gauges with dash pod, X-pipe and flowmaster 40 series mufflers. All bolt on upgrades are Smog approved. The emission systems are fully intact with no modifications and the car passes smog testing with flying colors. This car is adult (50+) owned, never abused or raced, and has never been dyno tested. This car has been garaged most of its life. Estimated horsepower is around 500. The only issues are cosmetic. The vinyl stripes have lost their luster and have some water spotting. The rear seat leather has shrunken at the top and needs repaired. Both easy fixes. I've set my reserve low considering the upgrades are well over $10K. The original engine components such as engine intake, injectors, manifolds, dash cover (where gauges are now) will be given to buyer in case they want to return car to original. I have brand new neoprene seat covers for the front seats that can be purchased by the buyer if they so wish. I will deliver car to any shipping station within 50 miles, or you can pick it up in Las Vegas Nevada. $500 deposit through Paypal required. Will hold car for 7 days. 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 recalled over airbag concern
Mon, 07 Nov 2011General Motors is recalling around 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedans from its 2008 and 2009 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the cars may have a passenger-side airbag flaw that might prevent proper deployment in certain scenarios.
According to NHTSA, the airbag might not adequately protect a fifth percentile woman - that is, a woman around four-foot, 11-inches weighing 108 pounds. The New York Times indicates that the anomaly was found during a crash test conducted by GM's Australian branch, Holden, which was testing the G8's twin (read: Commodore) for head injuries. According to that report, the test in question is specifically tailored to simulate injuries to females, so the results do not apply to men or children.
The issue has been blamed on a seat position sensor that governs airbag deployment rates. NHTSA indicates that when the front passenger seat is moved all the way forward, the faulty sensor may inappropriately trigger a 30-millisecond delay between airbag stages, potentially leading to greater injuries.
GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
