Very Nice Guys at Professional Auto Engines! Im not sure if i should post here I didnt have an engine replaced but I came in with a tire that was flat and I was stuck! They informed me they dont do tires but they could help me out, they took the tire off, put my spare on and didnt charge me a dime, if I ever need an engine these are the guys I would go to.

Very resonably priced, Helpful Staff, Very FAST!! My vehicles engine was replaced in less than a week. I would definately recommend a friend or two!

Stan and Andy have had my vehicle for three weeks THIS TIME. My engine was changed and when I picked up my vehicle, it ran so bad on the way home that I called him. This idiot must have thought he was speaking to someone that knew nothing about mechanics! He told me I had not run the vehicle long enough to get the AIR out of the lifters??? Every excuse in the book...I brought it back, unhappily, and now I feel like h... view moree`s holding my vehicle hostage. I will take whatever action necessary to stop this joke of a business!! I wish I would`ve done some checking around before I brought my vehicle to these unproffessional scam artists.

I brought my vehicle in to the service station, and was quoted a price for my car, I spoke with Andy, he gave me a price and stated I amy need other parts and he would not know if I did until the engine was removed and inspected, he showed me a checklist they use to go over every part that could be bad. (it was a little intimidating) But I decided to leave my vehicle, within 2 day Andy had called me back and informed... view more me my engine was being built and my old engine was removed, Then he went over the Checklist with me. he gave me options of what was needed and what was Marginal and the believe it or not gave me the choice of what I wanted repaired and what I couldnt afford, it was only 340.00 additional for stuff I know I already needed!! After this expierience I would definately recommend my family and or friends, I had never done this before, and the staff at Pro Auto Engine made it very easy to understand what I was getting into and how to save myself from a car payment. I had my 1998 GMC Sierra with 270,000 miles on my original motor and was in need of a rebuild. I contacted Pro Engine and spoke with their sales rep. He quoted me $3200 for everything and at that point I ""pulled the trigger"" on the deal. The owner quoted me a price on 2/12/2010 and met the tow truck driver on 2/13/2010 (Saturday in which he was closed) to take my truck in. He quoted me $3200 to do the work stating he would have it completed within 7 days. We contacted him on 2/19/2010 to see if he would have it ready by Monday 2/22/2010. He stated he had not ordered the engine (but he had taken a $2200 deposit on 2/15/2010). Called him the followi... view moreng week and got the run around then no answer. Finally he contacted me stating the truck was finished and ready. Since were from out of town, I told him we could not get there until the following Friday. I asked about the remaining $1000 due and he stated he was owed approximately $1800! I asked him where that number came from and he cursed me out so I slammed the phone in his face. When my husband called him, he stated he had customers in the shop and had to get back with him (never happened). He contacted me later in the week wanting to know what we planned to do with the truck. I told he we would see him on Friday. Needless to say when we arrived, he was no where to be found. The secretary pretended to know nothing about his tactics and I pulled her coat tail! She stated the business had been doing well for 22 years under his tenure. Well, according to the State of Louisiana, Pro Engine Sales was not in good standing and another company Professional Auto Engines was started on 3/10/2009. Guess what....the owner of Pro Engine Sales filed bankruptcy in the state of Louisiana on 3/9/2009 and reopened on 3/10/2009 under another name with the state (sounds like a scam huh). Well it gets better, he filed Chapter 7 and owed his debtors and vendors over $1.5M!!!! But he opened another business the very next day after filing Chapter 7......and he has not been prosecuted!!!! I filed a suit with the small clains court and when he was attempted to be served, he stated Pro Engine Sales was no longer in business. However, the charge on my credit card for 2/15/2010 was to Pro Engine Sales....and remember, 3/9/2009 he filed bankruptcy (which was not confirmed as of 4/21/2010 according to the bankrupcy court records). The local police was called in and we were advised to file a civil suit because they refused to let us see the work on our vehicle or release it. However, I will contact the District Attorney`s office for criminal action as it appears he is continuously committing fraud and advise anyone who has been a victim to this company to do the same!!!He is currently eluding the constable and having his accomplices do the same. RUN LIKE HELL FROM THIS BUSINESS...THEY ARE CROOKS!!!!!

Descent work but beware. Insist on a complete contract that states what is included and what isn`t included. Also insist on written authorization before additional charges are authorized. Example: Included in Contract: New belts, New spark plugs, If A/C is disconnected recharging to be included in price. New Oil and filter, New coolant and thermostat. New transmission fluid.

I bought an engine from this company that would break down on me in less than 2 years. The weld on a hose was poor and my radiator hose became disengaged causing my engine to overheat. The owner of Pro engine blamed me and offer to rebuild it again. So I (stupidly) paid for another engine. This one broke down with ion the year. This one literally fell apart less than 3 months after being rebuilt. The radiator fan simply fell off and was hanging by the belt in the middle of driving. This caused the engine to overheat. DO NOT use this company. When I told him what happened he said ""don`t call back because you don`t take care of your vehicle"". This guy is a crook.
