The car was in excellent shape overall.
This particular FJ45 also excited me as its the only one I have ever seen with the rear jack gear on the end of the bed to lower the spare.
The car received a complete cosmetic and mechanical restoration with Toyota OEM NOS parts sourced from all over the world.
NOS OEM highlights include:
Repainted in Toyota Bellatrix Yellow
Replaced all rubber trim including window seals, bumper/bed stops, and weatherstripping (including disassembly
and replaced of all removable top gaskets and seals)
Restored all original interior pull knobs and brake warning light
Replaced interior and exterior mirrors and sun visors
Replaced speedometer and gauges (original gauge cluster available showing mileage on removal - 72k kms)
Replaced steering column, steering wheel/cover and signal stalk
Replaced ashtray and glovebox covers, shift knobs, and gear shift dash plaque
Repainted all factory tools and jack
Replaced the door panels, door locks, door pulls, and window handle
Replaced all nuts and bolts

Honda scores big in Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards [w/videos]
Wed, 15 Jan 2014This year the Detroit Auto Show didn't just celebrate the automobile, it celebrated how we find out about the automobile, too. Partnering The One Club, this year introduced the 2014 One Show Automobile Advertising of the Year Award to Cobo Hall, celebrating winners in five different categories of advertising: broadcast television, online, interactive, experiential, and print/outdoor. Winners in those categories were judged by 50 creative directors and journalists, while a Public Choice category was chosen from among nearly 20,000 online votes.
Honda walked off with three of the six awards, its Hands spot taking Broadcast honors, its Sound of Honda getting the Online category and Illusions winning Public Choice. Hyundai made the grade in Interactive with Driveway Decision Maker, Fiat captured Print/Outdoor with its "Letters" ad, and Toyota's Tundra Endeavor Campaign spot and BMW's A Window into the Near Future were co-winners for Experiential.

Toyota says you might have the 40-millionth Corolla ever built
Sat, 07 Sep 2013The guy who bought the 50-millionth Toyota in the US got a free Camry and RAV4, but whoever in the world bought the 40-millionth Corolla in August gets a hearty "thank you" from the Japanese automaker. On sale since 1966, the Corolla is the best-selling nameplate in the world by a goodly margin (more than the Volkswagen Beetle and Ford Model T combined). So while you'd think that vehicle number 40 million would be sitting in a museum somewhere, Toyota can't even say in which country this milestone Corolla was sold, let alone to which customer.
One reason that Toyota is unsure where this Corolla was sold is the fact that the Corolla name itself is more than just the compact sedan sold in the US. On our shores alone, sales of the Matrix are lumped in with the Corolla, but around the world, numerous vehicles wear the Corolla name or share its platform.
