This Toyota is in outstanding condition with its original paint on every panel, NEVER in a wreck, No hazy or peeling clear coat, just a nice glossy finish. A Very Nice Stand-Up Vehicle.

Only 53K original miles!!

This car was produced in Japan at a time when Toyota earned its reputation for Reliability, Affordability and Quality. The Tercel DLX Wagon has an automatic transmission with the 1.5L, 4 cyl engine and gets approximately 35-42 MPG with No Problem!!  This is a non-computer car….so NO check engine lights needing service…more basic, just like the “good old days”!!

This Toyota runs strong out on the road, the transmission shifts like new, steering wheel is perfectly centered, no shakes or shimmies, no vibrations or pulling, the brakes stop like new, suspension is very tight, the AC is working as well as the heater, all electronics work properly including the original factory Toyota AM/FM cassette radio. The cigarette lighter and ash trays have Never been used, the car has a very nice interior, seats are like new, has the original Toyota Logo floor mats in place and they were covered from day one with rubber mats to protect them!! The dash is clean as a pin with NO cracks or fading, steering wheel has been covered since new, the headliner is intact and all of the glass is very nice with the original windshield which is chip and crack FREE!

The Tercel has been professionally gone over and has had a recent fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, a carburetor rebuild kit, a battery and it has 4 brand new P155/80/13 radial tires installed so it is ready to drive today across the country if you so desire!!

The car has some minor paint blemishes common with any used car….I see a few paint touch ups done by Grandpa, looks like he used the Factory paint touch up kit…but very minor!

Only 53K REAL ORIGINAL miles!!

Now, I know you’re thinking $6950 for an ’87 Toyota!?! ( is he nuts? )

But Hold On…Think about it….A Toyota….less than 54,000 miles…for less than $10,000.

And NADA values this car as follows:

Low=$2500…Average=$3825…High=$5125

Then I add 25% for the Low miles….( so $6,406.00 )

...why because there is NO WAY this car compares to the normal ones with over 200K miles!!!

Where else are you going to find an economical, Low mileage, reliable auto for commuting or a students first car or just to own a classic Toyota that only costs $6950!!!

I have the car for sale locally as well so the auction could end early if sold.  So...call or just Buy it Now!!!

If you have any questions or would like to view the car in person, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help.  Thank you for taking a look!

Toyota releases its Le Mans recap, 'The Ultimate Endurance Race'

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

Two weeks ago, Audi released its short video about this years 24 Hours of Le Mans, and now Toyota has put the experience into its own words and pictures. Called The Ultimate Endurance Race, the clip and accompanying press release focus on how hybrid power helped Toyota claim second and fourth places with the TS030 Hybrid in just its second year competing at Le Mans.
There are some brief scenes of the battles had this year, like when Lucas di Grassi in the Toyota almost kissed Allan McNish in the Audi above, but the best part might be when Toyota promises it will be back. Next year, it's gonna be good. You'll find the relevant words and the images just below.

Unintended acceleration settlement hits Toyota's Q4 bottom line

Fri, 09 May 2014

Depending on how you want to look at things, the US Attorney's Office $1.2-billion dollar settlement with Toyota in March over its unintended acceleration recall was either a big blow to the company or completely inconsequential. From January to March, net income fell five percent to 297 billion yen ($2.89 billion), compared to 313.9 billion yen ($3.05 billion) a year ago. However, the automaker still posted record full-year profits worldwide.
Operating profit also fell in the US by 9 percent to $498.1 million for the quarter, but sales were up by 6 percent to 581,261 vehicles. According to Automotive News, global revenue was still up from January to March by about 13 percent and vehicle sales were up 6 percent to 2.58 million units.
However, the payment to the feds did little to hold the company back last year. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2014, Toyota had net income of 1.82 trillion yen ($17.7 billion), compared to 962.1 billion yen ($9.5 billion) in the last fiscal year. Total vehicle sales were also up.

Toyota nears $40B cash reserve as calls grow for new investment, payouts

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

With the April 15 tax deadline just a few months away, our US readers will be faced with a decision should they get a refund: save or spend? It seems this issue is one many of us face whenever there's a windfall, trying to decide whether we should set the money aside in an account of some sort or use it as a down payment on a new car or a trip to the Apple store. Unsurprisingly, major corporations face a similar, albeit more complex, issue.
Take Toyota, for example. With President Akio Toyoda at the helm, the Japanese manufacturer has gracefully weathered recalls and natural disasters, all while turning beaucoup profits. Last quarter, profits quintupled to 434.4-billion yen ($4.3-billion USD), according to Bloomberg. Toyota also upped its forecast for the end of fiscal year 2013 (which ends on March 31 for Japan), to a record 1.9-trillion yen (about $18.8 billion). Now, the Japanese brand is reportedly sitting on a cash pile of nearly $40 billion, leaving Toyoda-san in an envious predicament - what should the company do with all that money?
Some think Toyota should be doing something, anything with that big stack of cash.
