This WELL equipt 2006 Volvo AWD T5 S40 is sooooo very nice. EVERYTHING works and works very well. It is easy to tell the car has been well cared for. The drivers seat looks like it has 30,000 miles...no wear-through on the leather...nice solid color. This is a car you will be proud to drive anywhere. This year is a good looking car. Looks very modern. I cannot find a scratch (could have one...it is a 2006....but I can not find it...so if there is one it is SMALL) This car is a JOY to drive...now I have a 100% feedback on E bay. This car was in a minor accident. The right fender was hit so light you could still drive the car and I drove it home with no problems. I have made 2 trips to Dallas from Houston. This car was professionaly repaired and fender replaced. I will be able to give you a Texas BLUE title with a REBUILT stamp on it. It has fully passed inspection (you are more than welcome to have a mechanic look it over....the tires are in very good condition (I would not hesitate to drive this car on a LONG road trip across the USA. I originally purchased the car to give to my grandson and we all decided it was way too nice a car to give a 16 year old (I love him very much but I try not to spoil my grandchildren any more than I should)....actually I wanted to give it to him and his mother and father said TOO NICE a car. he needs to start with something less I have to tell you I have had the car for about a year because I hesitate to sell it. I am PROUD to sell such a nice car. I have provided a MAKE OFFER...PLEASE dont just low ball me. I paid a lot for this car because it is very nice. Lets be fair with each other and you will get a GREAT car. I will be happy to pick you up at ither Houston, Texas airports and let you drive it home....or I can have it shipped to anyplace you like. |

Volvo previews Concept XC Coupe ahead of Detroit reveal [w/video]
Wed, 11 Dec 2013Volvo is in the midst of a three-stage design revolution. The first stage came with the reveal of the Concept Coupe in Frankfurt just this past September. What you see here is our first glimpse at the second stage.
The Volvo Concept XC Coupe previewed here will be unveiled in full on January 8 in advance of the Detroit Auto Show. While the previous concept was all sleek, the Concept XC Coupe takes a more rugged, utilitarian approach with a hatchback roofline, higher ride height, knobbier tires, lower body cladding and a rooftop box. From what we can see, it looks like a cross between the previous concept and an XC70 wagon that could preview a soft-road replacement for the C30 hatchback.
That's about all there is to say at this point, but you can scope out the press release along with the video below and the trio of teaser images in the gallery above.
Volvo releases extensive model updates for 2014
Tue, 19 Feb 2013The 2014 model year is going to see big changes for the Volvo lineup. The biggest news is that the "60 cluster" models (the S60, V60 and XC60) are receiving some substantial updates despite not being all that old, and Volvo is also refreshing the S80, V70 and XC70 models. Of course, the 2014 model year also marks the departure of the C30 and C70 from its lineup, and we still have at least a year to wait until we see the redesigned XC90.
Except for the XC90, all of the 2014 Volvos will be getting noticeable design updates. The S60, V60 and XC60 get more in-depth changes, including a full front facelift. All will use an evolution of the "naughty" design that debuted on the S60. The rear of all three cars get some changes, too, most notably consisting of the reshaped rear fascia with the integrated exhaust outlets. S80, V70 and XC70 will get more minor changes - mostly to bring them in line with the fresher models. The XC70 keeps is rugged plastic cladding, but it gets some stylish wheels with what look like arrowhead accents.
Inside, all of these updated models will new in-car technology such as the Sensus Connected Touch infotainment system and the adaptive digital display with a TFT (thin film transistor) screen. This reconfigurable screen allows the driver to choose between three different themes - Elegance, Eco and Performance - which changes the color and layout of the background. Other new features include heated windshields, Active High Beam Control for the headlights, paddle shifters for a little added driver involvement and IntelliSafe active safety systems (City Safety, Pedestrian Detection and Road Sign Information) The S80, V70 and XC70 will also add heated steering wheels to their respective options sheets, too.
Tina Fey sits down with Seinfeld for new CiCGC
Thu, 30 Jan 2014Recently Jerry Seinfeld went out for a videotaped cup of coffee with Jay Leno in a vintage Gmund Porsche. Switching coasts and cars, this time New York's own son returns to his city for a jaunt in a 1967 Volvo 1800S with fellow New Yorker Tina Fey for the latest episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
The trip takes them uptown to Cuban coffee shop Floridita in Harlem, then back downtown to a pastry shop. On the way, Jerry calls out a photo shoot for using a fake Porsche, and Fey admits she doesn't have a driver's license. Driving cars, she says, "is like Twitter to me." Which she also doesn't do - she lasted seven tweets in 2009.
You can check out the episode below as they go in search of coffee, the rare guanabana/soursop juice, Jerry's even more elusive product placement and the last Cronut in NYC.
