1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop Street Rod. Where to start? This car has the best of everything. Two door hardtop, frame off restoration. Frame was powder coated, all running gear was powder coated. I own a powder coating business, if it can be powder coated it is. Body is immaculate, zero rust. Paint has to be seen in person to be appreciated. Four wheel disk brakes. Factory 1957 Chevy third member with all new bearings, seals and 3:08 gears. 700R4 overdrive transmission. Chevrolet crate 350 with Holley EFI. Billet Specialties Serpentine kit, Power steering, Air Conditioning, Ceramic Coated headers, Aluminum radiator. Motor only has 1320 miles on it. Interior was completely redone, including trunk. Has Rockford Fosgate stereo system. Drop spindles up front with Billet Specialties 17x8’s out back and 17x7’s up front all wrapped with Yokahama rubber. All the glass and chrome are in awesome condition, the side trim is original stainless that was worked and polished. The chrome up front and out back is brand new. This car is ready! It runs and drives like a dream. With the gearing and overdrive transmission it cruises 70mph while only turning 1900 rpm’s. And getting 22mpg doing it. As I said before, no expense was spared. Every part of this car was stripped down and powder coated or painted. Car has an awesome stance, and turns heads everywhere it goes. GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.

Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
