New York, New York, United States

I am the 2nd owner.  I purchased this car from a used car dealership in July 2010, it had ~55,000 miles.  According to the vehicle history report, there was one previous owner.

In my 4 years of ownership I have driven ~68,000 miles.  I get regular oil changes every 3,000 miles and regular tire rotations every 10-12,000 miles.  I have complete service history back to July 2010.  Most of the history is with one mechanic in NJ who would be happy to speak with your directly regarding the vehicle.

Last July 2013, I had the transmission replaced.  The Jasper Transmission came with a 3 year or 100,000 mile warranty on part and labor.  It has a remaining 2 years and ~80,000 miles left on that warranty.

My driving history is primarily highway driving to my job in NJ.  I do not consider myself an aggressive driver or heavy breaker.  I almost never drive above 75 mph.

So why am I selling?  I am leaving my current job for an opportunity in NYC, where I also live.  I no longer need a car and I would have nowhere to keep one.  I love this car and if I still needed one, I would have no reason to sell.  It is in good driving condition and serves my needs.

The Chevy Impala is a large sedan.  I have been thrilled with the large enclosed trunk - it is huge, even compared with SUVs.

Please contact me for the reserve price.  PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS!  I want to give you the most representative picture possible of this vehicle.

Local pickup preferred - available in NYC or near Parsippany, NJ (where I work).  Due to personal travel this upcoming weekend, I have some restrictions on pickup dates (must be 7/8, 7/9, 7/10, 7/11 before 4 pm, or 7/16).

Payment in cash, in person.

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.

Conquest and controversy conclude the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona [spoilers]

Sun, 26 Jan 2014

If you don't wish to know who won the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, you should avert your eyes right now. We'll even give you a double-space to skedaddle...
For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.
