THE BODY WAS RESTORED AROUND 8 YEARS AGO AND PAINTED PROFFESIONALLY WITH A GORGEOUS CHEVY METTALIC BLUE. I HAVE TONS OF PICTURES SHOWING THE RESTORATION WITH ONE INCH THICK FULL OF BILLS AND PAPERWORK FOR CAR. THIS CAR WAS EXTRA CLEAN EVEN BEFORE RESTORATION HAD BEGUN.....I EVEN HAVE THE ORIGINAL BILL OF SALE-CAR INVOICE. THIS NOVA WAS BOUGHT AT WINDERS CHEVROLET IN COLUMBUS, OHIO. THIS NOVA CANT BE DRIVEN ANYWERE WITHOUT EVERYONE GOING CRAZY OVER IT, IT IS THAT SHARP. THE INTERIOR HAS NEW RECLINING BENCH SEATING IN 2 TONE BLUE AND NEW BACK SEAT, IT HAS NEW CARPET AND HEADLINER....IT DOES HAVE ONE CRACK IN DASH PAD. THE SEATS HAVE NO WEAR AND LOOK LIKE NEW...ALSO HAS THE SS CHEVY STEERING WHEEL AND HAS THE STOCK RADIO STILL IN IT. 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit
Mon, 04 Mar 2013We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.
Chevrolet donates 300 vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Super Storm Sandy took out a lot of automobiles in its path of destruction through the Northeast last October. The number surpassed 250,000 at last count, and a few of those were owned by Chevrolet - cars either sitting on dealership lots or waiting at port to be shipped off. Rendered unsellable by the water damage inflicted by Sandy, these vehicles were facing the crusher. But Chevy didn't send them there.
Instead, Chevy had a better idea: It will be donating 300 of these vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders at Guardian Centers in Perry, GA. Chevy is the official automotive partner of Guardian Centers, which is an 830-acre facility that trains first responders in disaster preparedness. Junked cars are practically a consumable commodity there, where a full-size cityscape simulator gives trainees an entire urban center in which to train for all sorts of rescue operations and disaster scenarios.
Chevy says its particular vehicles will be used "in conjunction with role players for wide area searches, traffic congestion in emergency situations, counter terrorism, public order and mass casualty exercises." While grim scenarios all, we're certainly glad there are people out there preparing for the unexpected. While a zombie apocalypse isn't officially on the list of potential disasters to prepare for, when the virus hits, we'll be hot-footing it to Perry, GA to hang with these guys and gals.
