Yes- She is 25 years YOUNG! This vehicle has LESS THAN 85,000 ORIGINAL MILES! Not "mint" by any means but in very good condition with only some minor wear and tear issues as should be expected for a car it's age, She has a slight wear spot on driver's seat (from the entering /exiting that occurs on leather over time) and some overall carpet color fading from the sunlight ...Because car is originally from Florida and has only been driven (even now) in sunshine!!! The A/C works but was seldom used by me...Heck, it is a convertible after all!!
This vehicle has ALWAYS been regularly serviced and maintained by my local mechanic.I bought the car in '09 from the original owner where it was only used to drive to and from NY to Florida and only used there during winter months as he was a "snow bird".... And her great condition then (and now) is from not dealing with our harsh winters and is still evident now. This vehicle has NEVER been out in snow or road salt!!!! Always garaged and she is still kept under a cover car too in my garage until it's time (and nice enough) to take her out. And while I have owned it, I always have kept her road worthy with routine maintenance and recently replaced all four tires,new battery, brakes, exhaust, timing belt, rear wheel bearings and even had the fluid and transmission filter changed and I have only put 3,500 miles on it since the majority of all that work was done. **HONESTY NOTE: Rear window motors were disconnect by previous owner and I never bothered to re-connect them but he promised me that they do work, but sometimes were intermittent so he just disconnected them both and I have just left them up -which cuts back on some of the wind anyway...She is dependable and fun to drive but unfortunately the summer's and nice weather are really limited here in upstate New York, so I have decided to let her go...Sadly :-( Car is currently safety / emission inspected for New York through May 2015 and will easily pass repeatedly for some years to come with all the new tires, brakes exhaust, etc. work that has been done. She has a clean title and the miles are all ORIGINAL with no accidents / damage! Therefore she has received an above average rating as you can see...The original white vinyl cowl cover, the four original wheel covers and even the original owner manuals are all included..Spare tire and cover are all good and in trunk..To be very clear and upfront...She is NOT mint! But she is in very good (and far better condition) than a lot of vehicles out there that are advertised / listed as being "mint" and that are far from it.....AND they often advertised for even more in price and they have more in miles!!! Hmm...You decide...Anyway,thanks for looking and good luck with the bidding...Hope YOU will be her next owner!! ;-) |

2015 Chrysler 200S AWD

Honestly, one of the best parts about this job is the freedom we're given to experience the open road, whether at new car launches or while bombing around with whatever we're testing on our home turf. But the longer-form road trip is equally special to me, and it's something I'm always eager to do. Air travel stinks - that's not news. So if I can drive, I will. And without our dear TSA to fight with, I can pack all the chainsaws and gallon jugs of chocolate milk that I want.
So when it came time to attend the 2014 New York Auto Show this past April, I thought, "Why not drive?" Typically, the route from downtown Detroit to Manhattan is something like 10 hours, but I decided to bake some extra time into the journey and planned for the vast majority of my travels to be off the beaten path. Doing the "avoid expressways" route allows you to see parts of America you've never encountered before, and to meet people with stories and opinions that you've never heard. It's a great way to travel if you have the time. There's something uniquely serene about seeing the country in a great car on a great road.
Let's talk about that "great car" line for a moment. Ideally, long stretches of backroads are best done in something fast, comfortable and involving - a Porsche 911 comes to mind. Or, another school of thought says to pick some fun little spitfire like the always-lovely Mazda MX-5 Miata, for top-down, sun-drenched fun. But for this trip, I chose the 2015 Chrysler 200, in fully loaded S guise with all-wheel drive. Now, settle down; I'm not about to compare it to either the Porsche or Mazda. The point I'm making is this: after 1,500 test miles under my butt, I can emphatically state that the new 200 is indeed a great car in its own right.
NYT profiles Blue Nelson, a reclusive and interesting CA car collector
Thu, 25 Sep 2014If it weren't for his Dale Earnhardt Sr. looks, Blue Nelson could be one one of those soft-spoken, nondescript guys whom you meet briefly and never learn much more about. However, as The New York Times shows in a recent profile and video, behind closed doors, Nelson keeps a fascinatingly eclectic collection of automotive oddities and vintage bicycles.
While his main career is in the movie industry, Nelson's other job is as a car hunter. He takes on clients searching for a specific model and helps them find and restore the dream vehicle that they're after. Hiring him takes some dedication, though, because Nelson doesn't advertise his services. "If people want to find me, they know how to find me," he says in the video.
Beyond being an automotive private detective, Nelson has a fantastically varied collection of vehicles of his own. He likes to have models that people don't usually see, and his garage holds a classic Chrysler New Yorker and an extremely rare Rometsch convertible. Although, the one that means the most to him is the 1962 Porsche 356 convertible that Blue came home in as a baby. Dodge not being dropped by Chrysler, CEO reaffirms

Despite some rumor and speculation over the future of the crosshair grille and the cars that wear it, Dodge brand boss, Tim Kuniskis, sat down with TheDetroitBureau.com, explaining that the marque isn't going anywhere. His sentiments echo those of SRT boss Ralph Gilles, who told a group of enthusiasts in July that "Dodge is here to stay!"
Dodge's death won't be "a part of a master plan to consolidate brands," Kuniskis told TheDetroitBureau.com. Instead, the brand, which is ultimately under the command of Fiat/Chrysler CEO, Sergio Marchionne, will likely ditch some of its badge-engineered models, like the Dodge Grand Caravan. A more focused Dodge, which was something Gilles has already hinted at, will likely see it exploring areas of the market that haven't been exploited by other Chrysler brands.
Kuniskis, not surprisingly, wasn't willing to delve into any detailed product plans, telling TDB that the size of the brand's lineup "remains to be seen." Regardless of how big the brand actually ends up being (it is presently Chrysler's volume brand - and not by a little), hopefully the statements from Kuniskiss can put the rumors of a Dodge closure to bed.
