1969 Ford Bronco Half Cab
5500 miles on a total off frame restoration. Every nut and bolt was restored or replaced. A new wiring harness was
installed. The entire frame was blasted and painted. The tub was stripped, primed and rhino-lined. No rust on this
46 year old beauty. Everything works as it supposed to.
Powered by a rebuilt 302 V8 with an Edelbrock 650 CFM 4 barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold and Hooker
headers this Bronco has plenty of get up and go. The exhaust is a custom dual with magnaflow mufflers and it sounds
great...not too loud, but she has deep throaty growl when you get on her. An electric fan and wild horses aluminum
racing radiator, along with stainless air dam and fender well vents keep this Bronco running cool. Vintage Air A/C
was added for comfortable summer driving.
The 302 V8 delivers power to a rebuilt C4 automatic transmission mission with the period correct column shift.
Power assisted drum brakes on all 4 wheels provide stopping power, just as it did when she rolled off the assembly
line in 1969. 70,000 mile, Michelin LTX, 31 x 10.5 tires are mounted on 15" US Indy aluminum alloy slotted mag
rims, reminiscent of the Strope Broncos that raced the Baja in the early '70's. Those LTX radials are super quiet
and ride very smooth around town and on the highway.
The interior sports billet aluminum trim around the dash and pedals, custom billet aluminum door panels and has a
fully carpeted interior with sound deadening heat shield. A Tuffy, lockable steel center console with padded
leather armrest, drink holders and an Alpine car stereo with CD and Sirius-XM radio add some creature comfort. The
half cab roof is also fully headlined with temperature insulating and sound deadening headliner. The Procar Elite
leather seats provide luxurious all day comfort with lumbar support and bolsters. Three point seat belts are also
installed. The steering wheel a is custom one of kind creation from con2r truck restorations.
She runs great, handles very well, tracks straight under braking and is very comfortable to drive. Step bumpers
make it easy to get in and out and the roll bar looks great and adds a measure of safety. Show it, garage and cover
it and sit on your investment or drive it daily, whatever you choose this Bronco is ready.

Ford Mondeo classes up with premium Vignale trim

Wed, 11 Sep 2013

Back in the day, Vignale was a carrozzeria of the highest order, alongside the likes of Pininfarina, Bertone and Zagato. But like Giugiaro-ItalDesign and Ghia, it has since been subsumed into a larger auto group. Ford ended up with it under its umbrella when it took over De Tomaso, and has since used the moniker for a number of concept cars. Now the name is back in the form of a new upscale sub-brand for the European market.
The first new model to receive the Vignale treatment is the Mondeo, which Ford unveiled here at the Frankfurt Motor Show in both sedan and wagon forms. Positioned above the Titanium trim, the Vignale model gets such special touches as chrome trim and a quilted leather interior, Vignale badges replacing any mention of the Mondeo on which it's based. It also gains an ownership experience - including free car washes for life! - to befit the upscale positioning.
Under the bright spotlights above the show floor, the Nocciola metallic brown paint might not be the most photogenic, but will likely give the Vignale edition a more premium look when it hits European dealers and roads in 2015. Whether it'll be worth however much Ford asks for it, however, remains to be seen. Scroll down below for the official press release.

2015 Ford Mustang will tell authorities how you crashed and if you were belted [w/video]

Sat, 28 Jun 2014

When the 2015 Ford Mustang hits dealers, it will be with a new batch of features that will power up Sync's 911 Assist feature, and provide an even greater degree of information to first responders in the event of an accident.
911 Assist will already make a phone call, via a Bluetooth-connected phone, should you bin your car. The automatic message to first responders is a pre-recorded blurb from Ford. With the new enhancements, though, emergency personnel can learn about the maximum change in velocity and whether the crash involved a front, rear, side or a rollover impact. 911 Assist will also send information about how many seat belts were in use and if airbags deployed, allowing more accurate dispatch of resources.
"Sync will only broadcast relevant information to save time, and it constructs a very efficient message for the operator," said David Hatton, the global project leader with Ford Connected Services. "After the introductory message, the voice line opens automatically and occupants can speak directly with the operator via Sync's hands-free functionality."

Ford gives S-Max the Vignale treatment in Milan

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

Ford has a bit of a history in reviving the names of old coachbuilders it has long since gobbled up and using them to distinguish its top-of-the-line models in Europe. That's what it did for years with Ghia, and after having replaced it several years ago with the Titanium trim level, now it's doing it again with Vignale.
At the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, Ford revealed the Mondeo Vignale concept in both sedan and wagon body-styles, which are set to reach production next year. But before they do, the Blue Oval automaker is at it again, applying similar upgrades to the S-Max minivan and unveiling it in concept form in Milan this week.
Setting the Vignale concept apart from any other S-Max is its Milano Grigio rose-hued silver pearlescent paint, 21-inch alloys, chrome trim and hexagonal-pattern grille. Inside it's all ultra-soft quilted leather and aluminum trim, with tablet docking stations in the back and thinner, more flexible seats than the existing production version.
